Summary: God is Zealous for us.

Isa 9:5 For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire.

Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Isa 9:7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

In Psalm 8:4-9 we read the question: "What is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him? You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor. You made him ruler over the works of your hands; you put everything under his feet: all flocks and herds, and the beasts of the field, the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas. O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!"

We are made in the image of God, there are similarities.

But there are very key differences.

God knows all, that was and that shall be.

I know some of what was and some of what will be, and can barely at times comprehend of what really is now.

He is never blind sided.

So in Gen 3 when Adam and Eve violated his word and ate of the fruit, although repelled by their sin, still as in times past he came down into the garden for fellowship .

And they tried to hide themselves from God, and they tried to cover themselves and they were ashamed

The enemy thought he was going to destroy the relationship of man and God.

He thought God would run away but instead he ran to them.

Satan was no doubt beaming w/ pride as God issued out judgement

He Lacked understanding as God said that in pain the woman would bear children

That the serpent would be forever on its belly

O he loved the part where god said that the serpent would bruise[break] the heel of man

But wasn’t so sure about the heel of the woman breaking the head of satan

Our sin separates us from God but his zeal searches to bring us back to him.

1Ti 2:14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

1Ti 2:15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

There is well planned effort to keep us away from Gods plan.

His plan is that we work in his kingdom we are saved in childbearing.

We are kept alive and safe by ministering and helping build up Gods kingdom. By soul winning.

This is why we suffer bruises and setbacks so often as we are trying to go forth and do his plan.

But if we could understand that our heel bruises are painful and slow us down and take time to heal

But they are far less than us crushing the head of satan.

Running up the mount of zion and declaring to the broken destitute lonely and hopeless of Jerusalem that things were going to change and that they would not forever be without, transformed these dirty cracked feet into beauty

Rom 10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

Let us begin to understand the zeal of the Lord, ardent fiery desire

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world… gave His only begotten Son…

ILLUS: One author noted this and commented: "God is crazy about you. If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it. If God had a wallet, your photo would be in it. He sends you flowers every spring, and a sunrise every morning.

Whenever you want to talk, He listens. He could have chosen to live anywhere in the universe, but He chose to live in Your heart. Face it, God is crazy about you."

Joh 2:13 And the Jews’ passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem,

Joh 2:14 And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting:

Joh 2:15 And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers’ money, and overthrew the tables;
