Summary: People will hate you for sharing with them the correction they need from God's Word. It is persecution, but God expects us to uphold righteousness.

The Wrath of People Against the Truth Tellers of God by Kelly Durant

2 Tim 3:12

12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

The prophets of God in the Bible, pastors of today, or any truth living Christian who will speak what is correct from the Word of God to others will suffer persecution! In other words there will always be a time you may need to say something to someone to guide them in love, but instead of them accepting that it was from God for their good, they take it that you are criticizing or attacking them and you get the blame for what God had to say to them!

And more than that, some people are so shallow in the Lord that at the first insinuation that they could be at fault over something, or they have an issue you believe they should improve on, they suddenly drop you as a friend and become your enemy! I have experienced the loss of many so called friends through the years and it does hurt me inside. It hurts when you discover that a person was only by your side for their own self interest and not because they really were your comrades in the fight to save souls for Jesus!

Mark 1:39

39 And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out devils.

Jesus cast out the demons out the demons in the churches!

Where do you think the devil does his dirty work to destroy as many souls as possible, in bars and clubs? The truth is he already has most of those people in his bag and he doesn’t even worry about destroying them! They just keep giving into temptation because they have no power to overcome it and they destroy themselves!

But with us it is different! We have Jesus and we have power with our prayer partners and we will be saved from the hell he is going to. But we must be faithful to the end to get a crown of life and never going back! Satan spends a lot of his time in the church!

Why do so many churches divide and some men of God suddenly fall into sin? It is because Satan wants to destroy the God’s people! The devil does his best to make us become a dead, compromised, and carnal Christian, one who has his eyes on our selves and not on Him and the lost souls!

Mark 6:6-7

Then Jesus went around teaching from village to village. 7 Calling the Twelve to him, he sent them out two by two and gave them authority over evil spirits.

Why did Jesus send his people out in twos? Because when one falls the other one can lift him up. We all need to be accountable. That means that we need husbands, wives, children, parents, or Christian friends looking into the entire private areas of our lives to be sure we are not falling into sin. We need to be confessing our faults one to another as the scripture commands in …. , otherwise we can get into a lot of wrong, unchristian things, as many of the people of the world are doing today.

They did an inquiry and found that up to half of the men who go to church had gone online to look at pornography within the past week. Of course they did that when they were alone! If we do not have someone there to stop us when we are wrong then, we are at risk and in danger of living in the holy way the Lord has taught us and don’t think it won’t happen to you, I have seen it happen to some people I thought were strong and inspired in the Lord’s way.

2 Peter 2:22

22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

Many people do not take it so serious to be Holy and to not be into the sin the world offers but it is a command to “be ye holy as He is Holy” Do you realize what happens when you correct people, even gently with love with God’s standards? Often they will interpret that you are bad and not looking out for them because what may be best for them is not getting something they want. I would love for you to be in my position sometime. I invite you to walk in my shoes.

Think about it, Jesus was the most loving and kind man who ever walked the earth, yet he only had 11 who choose to follow him. At one time He had 70 but when He told others they would need to eat His flesh and drink His blood (symbolic, of course meaning they would need to partake of His body that heals & blood that forgives sins) he lost 70 other followers right there because they did not have faith to believe there was an explanation but they only reasoned with their carnal minds and that told them to forget Jesus. Jesus taught and healed and helped thousands, but only a few really followed.
