To show the distinction between the wicked and the righteous.

IV. TEXT:

Proverbs 11:8 (Amplified Bible)

11:8 The [uncompromisingly] righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked gets into it instead.

V. THESIS:

Praise, worship and thank You very much LORD JESUS, for You have delivered me always from trouble and you let the wicked suffer trouble on my behalf. Thank You very much, LORD JESUS, because we are precious in Your sight, honored yet undeserving and because of Your love, You exchanged me on my behalf.

The wicked suffers trouble for the righteous

VII. EXPLICATION:

A. Authors: possibility of multiple authors, Solomon is commonly known as compiler and collector

C. Purpose: to give moral instruction

D. To whom written: specially to young people

E. Main Theme: fear of the LORD

VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. The righteous is delivered out of trouble

"The [uncompromisingly] righteous is delivered out of trouble,"

Proverbs 21:18 (Amplified Bible)

21:18 The wicked become a ransom for the [uncompromisingly] righteous, and the treacherous for the upright [because the wicked themselves fall into the traps and pits they have dug for the good].

We are redeemed from the curse by the LORD JESUS CHRIST, while we are ransom from trouble by the wicked.

Israel vs. Egypt:

Egypt suffered all the 10 plagues on Israel's behalf, it's not Israel's fault, it's not GOD's fault, but their own wickedness and mischief backfired on their heads and scalps.

Isaiah 43:3-4 (Amplified Bible)

43:3 For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I give Egypt [to the Babylonians] for your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba [a province of Ethiopia] in exchange [for your release].

43:4 Because you are precious in My sight and honored, and because I love you, I will give men in return for you and peoples in exchange for your life.

B. The wicked gets into trouble instead

"and the wicked gets into it instead"

The wicked's scalp is full of dandruff called Mischief, while the righteous can't have dandruff because they Rejoice (a brand of anti-dandruff shampoo)

Psalms 7:16 (Amplified Bible)

7:16 His mischief shall fall back in return upon his own head, and his violence come down [with the loose dirt] upon his own scalp.

Psalms 68:21 (Amplified Bible)

68:21 But God will shatter the heads of His enemies, the hairy scalp of such a one as goes on still in his trespasses and guilty ways.

We rejoice because of the delivery from trouble that JESUS has done for us, while the wicked continued to be in sorrow and in trouble because they rejected the eternal life gift that is the LORD JESUS CHRIST for themselves.
