Good morning, beloved friends. I trust that each of you is feeling the touch of God's grace today, that you've felt His hand guiding you, even in the smallest details of your life.
We're here today to gather around the Word of God, to allow it to guide us, to comfort us, and to challenge us. We're here to draw closer to the heart of God, to experience His love in a deeper way, and to learn more about His character and His will for our lives.
Today, we're going to turn our hearts and minds to the Gospel of Luke, specifically chapter 19, verses 28 through 44. This is a passage rich with meaning, filled with emotion, and brimming with lessons for our lives today. Let me read it to you now.
In this passage, we see a profound contrast between the joy of the disciples and the sorrow of Jesus. We see Jesus' vision for the future, and we are reminded of the cost of peace.
The great preacher Charles Spurgeon once said, "By perseverance, the snail reached the ark." In our walk with God, it's not always about the swiftness of our pace, but the steadfastness of our faith.
Let's pray. Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you today with open hearts and open minds. We ask that you would speak to us through your Word, that you would reveal your truth to us, and that you would guide us in our understanding. Help us to see your heart in this passage, to feel your sorrow and your joy, and to understand your vision for the future.
