The Weakness of God What can we say to the world after it trys to destroy God? 1St Corinthians, 1:18-25. ...and the weakness of God is stronger than men. How many people today actually put their trust in God the Father?, Jesus asked this question, "Will there be Faith on Earth when I return?" After much thought I finally understood what He ment. The world as it is, has become a world of the strong against the weak, the mighty against the impoverished, the famos against the infamous. Nucular against stones. All of mans thoughts have turn to evil continually, they have turned to science and their ability to produce weapons of mass destruction. The younger generations have turned to the trend of the past, Sex, Drugs and Rock and roll.Not thinking about their souls or the consiquinces of their actions. Knowledge will be increased and men shall go after what is so called science, prophecy from the past, makeing a visiable show in our time. Ever learning and never being able to come to the knowledge of the truth. So then why do we continue to preach the Gospel? The Bible states that, " But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Greeks foolishness, but unto them which are called both Jews and Greeks, Christ the Power of God, and the wisdom of God." So does God have a weakness? Yes, the Bible states it as fact, but interpretation for me is, the weakness of God is not based upon the standards set by man as far as the term, weakness. We have the mind of Christ, but not the mind of God.We could call Gods weakness His love for mankind which would be a reasonable assumption, because of His sacrifice of His Son for us. Dont confuse Gods weakness for Gods ability to be stronger than Man . What is Gods answer to mans wisdom and ability to destroy each other? Verse 19, "For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the pruedent." So who do you put your trust in, man and his weapons and computers, mans knowledge and decietefulness , Or would you rather trust in the one who allowes man to go only as far as He wants them to? Am I stateing that God controlls how far men can advance? Yes. Look at The Tower of Babel. Gods weakness is His love for His creation, in scripture many times God repents for the evil that He thought to do to Isreal, for their disobediance. How many times God could have destroyed this world, and destroyed Isreal, a backslideing and adultrious nation, not wanting to be a faithful wife to the God of Heavan. How many of us could forgive their spouce for such indescressions? God is Love and power, strength and Honor, patient and majesty, how can we not serve a God such as the God of Heavan? By the weakness of God ,we exist, we live ,we are saved, to live with Him forever. We know that which God wishes us to know, look at verse 20, Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? Dont confuse Gods patience for weakness, but His patience is going to run out, the Bible states that, Gods spirit will not always strive with man. We all have a weakness of one kind or another, I do and I know that you all do. Its not a sin to have one but we hafe to learn, eather to deal with it or overcome it. We have been made overcomers by the word of God, we are more than conquers. We have been made above what we were in the grace and power of God and the Holy Spirit. In Gods weakness we have been saved, we have been delievered we have been healed we have been given the power to become the sons of God. But man thinking that he is above God ,as the people of Babal are considering to put a space station on the moon and mars, so that man can live other than God assigned. This foolish action will not take place, why, because of prophecy, the people declairing these things do not understand the scripture, this is a weakness on their part. God is the creator of all things the Power, Honor, Glory, Majesty we dont have the words to declair God Love for His creation all we can say is that we are His Passion ,His Love, His Family, His Weakness. Man trys to glory himself in His accomplishments, but this glory, according to scripture is only for a short time and then it fades away. How should we glory ? verse 31 states That according as it is written, He that glorieth, let Him glory in the Lord. We continue to preach to try to lead others to God ,throu Jesus Christ, God loves us and has given his best, why cant we give our best? Lets look shortly at Cpt 2 :11, For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in Him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the spirit of God. There are many people out there in this world that believe that they have the mind of God and that they know all about Him and His ways, but this is not so and will eventually lead to confusion. This also becomes a weakness in thjemselves, it stops conversation it ades in hindering learning, we could live a million years and still never understand the length and breath and depth of Gods Love and wisdom. We accept God as He is because He accepted us as we were. How can you ask more than that? In our weakness, we are made Strong, in our sickness we are made Whole, in our darkness we have been given Light , in our sadness we have been given Joy, in our tears we have been Conforted and in our death we have been declaired Alive in Christ Jesus. I am ,who I am, by the grace of God. To finish, mans weakness is ever growing and his knowledge is ever increaseing, he is runing to and fro and never able to come into the knowledge of the truth. God weakness is, man, His creation, John 3:16 says it best, For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whomsoever believeth in Him should not perish but have ever lasting Life. So my fellow brothers and sisters, Great each other with a holy kiss ,as comanded in scripture, pray for your enemies and each other and remember, Gods weakness is our salvation. ars.
