THE VALUE OF LIFE

INTRODUCTION: Since the legalization of abortion, approximately 30 million Americans have not been given the chance to live. Despite the devaluing of human life by many, God, in His word makes it clear that I have value not from the point of delivery, not from the point that the child is viable outside of the womb, not from the point when brain activity is evident, but from the very point of conception.

I) Humanity of the unborn

A) We find value in the fact that God knows us before we are born

B) We find value in the fact that God was actively involved in my creation

C) We find value in the fact that God showed His love for us even before conception

II) Our Christina responsibility

A) To be salt and Light (Matthew 5:13, 14)

B) To defend and rescue the weak (Psalm 82:3,4)

C) To rescue those led to death (Proverbs 24:11, 12)

D) To seek justice (Isaiah 1:17)

E) To do good to all people (Galatians 6:9-10)

III) How can we fulfill our responsibility?

A) We MUST pray for one another (I Timothy 2:1-4)

B) We MUST expose darkness (Ephesians 5:11)

C) We MUST Preach, correct, rebuke (II Timothy 4:2)

D) We MUST restore the sinner (Galatians 6:1,2)

CONCLUSION: God has made clear the value of life and he has given us the awesome responsibility to protect the weak. The question is “What will you do?” Will sit back and ignore this terrible crime perpetrated on those who cannot defend themselves or will you accept God’s call to be their protector?
