1 Corinthians 10:12-13 Wherefore let him that thinketh
he standeth take heed lest he fall. 13 There hath no temptation (trial: whether in the form of seductions or afflictions, solicitations to sin or hardships) taken you
but such as is common to man: but God is faithful,
who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape,
that ye may be able to bear it.
The Story of Joseph………………………..
Here are 21 reasons God allows temptation:
So you will rely on Him.
1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him;
for he careth for you.
So you will call on Him.
Acts 17:26-27 And hath made of one blood all nations
of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth,
and hath determined the times before appointed,
and the bounds of their habitation; 27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
So you have no choice but Him.
John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches:
He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth
forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
So He can tell us things we wouldn’t know otherwise. Jeremiah 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
So He can be gracious to you.
Isaiah 30:18 And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted,
that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD
is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.
So He can show His kindness and compassion.
Lamentations 3:21-24 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. 22 It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. 24 The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
So He can restore your soul.
Psalm 23:3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me
in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
So He can demonstrate His strength.
2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace
is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect
in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in
my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
So you will trust in Jesus—and the Father.
John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled:
ye believe in God, believe also in me.
So you can produce character and hope.
Romans 5:3-5 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God
is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost
which is given unto us.
So He can keep us from being self-reliant or arrogant.
2 Corinthians 12:7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations,
there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
So He can discipline His children.
Hebrews 12:6-7 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. 7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons;
for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
So God’s power is revealed.
2 Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God,
and not of us.
So He can show our need for salvation.
Psalm 119:67 Before I was afflicted I went astray:
but now have I kept thy word.
So He can comfort us.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 Blessed be God, even the Father
of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies,
and the God of all comfort; 4 Who comforteth us in all
our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them
which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith
we ourselves are comforted of God.
So we can learn to comfort others.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 ( Same scripture as above.)
So He can reveal His unseen workings.
Psalm 77:19 Thy way is in the sea, and thy path
in the great waters, and thy footsteps are not known.
So He can demonstrate how all things work for good. Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together
for good, to them that love God, to them who are
the called according to his purpose.
