the sound of your tormentors will always be audible in every fight you face but what are the sounds are we listening to finding favor in the fight is crucial to depending on the sounds we listen to during the fight

1.are, you listening to the taunts of your tormentor's or are you listening to the the cheers of the tribe?

the tormentor will always be with you , but you can drown out the sounds of the tribe now let's discus the very tormentors we encounter

you need a tribe that is not easily shaken

there must be commitment to constantly belonging and contributing to a faith community ,joining a team and a life group , but that's a starting point

2. the jeers of the the enemy or the words of the winner ?

in 1 Samuel 17 , the entire isrialite army heard the same ridicule and threats from goliath that David did

but why would David take down the giant while the Israelites cowered in fear

David chose to listen to the promises of god vs the promises of my goliath

listening to god activates our faith listening to the lies of the enemy paralyzes us

3. are you listening to the sound of self or the sound of worship?

worship is the strategy by which we interrupt our preoccupation with ourselves and attend to the presence . David chooses to fight his battel against goliath armed only with his belief in and worship God , no fancy amour, just a certainty God was the victor and the fighting in his name was the only way to win
