Summary: Beloved, this message focuses on one area, which is not very clear to many people. Soul traders are those who buy and sell the souls of men. Ezekiel 13: 18 says, “And say, Thus saith the Lord God; Woe to the women that sew pillows to all armholes, and mak

When a man dies, his spirit will retain the soul or the personality. The spirit that is the real you, takes the soul along with it. As a Christian when you die, your physical body will be discarded, but will be resurrected to a spiritual body on the return of Jesus Christ. Then your soul will go with your spirit man either to heaven or to hell. So, the soul is the central part of man.

Within the soul is the mind, the source of knowledge and intelligence; the source of affection and consciousness. Because of its position, the soul can swing to either side of positive or negative thoughts. Many seem to have given up their souls to the world and have become worldly and spiritually useless. The soul is so important that Jesus says, “What shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his own soul. With what can a man make an exchange for his soul.” So, the soul is very important. If it were not, there would not have been anything like soul trading. There are powers that traffic in men, just as people traffic in drugs.

THE SLAVE TRADE

A long time ago, there was a horrible thing called slave trade. Some white men came to Africa to capture men, and carried them away to Europe or America to work in sugarcane plantations. The condition in the ship they used to carry them was horrible. They had no toilet facilities. Any deceased or sick slave was thrown into the sea, in order to avoid diseases from spreading to the others. And at the farms, the mouths of the slaves were padlocked to make sure that they did not eat part of the sugarcane. These white men were trading in men in collaboration with other African chiefs who had never seen mirrors before. About twenty souls could exchange for a piece of mirror. It was a very horrible practice, but soul trading is much more horrible than that. Jesus expressed the surpassing greatness of the soul when He said, “With what can a man make an exchange for his soul?”

A lot of atrocities are done against men in darkness. Philosophers often allude to the saying that man is the architect of his own destiny, with responsibility to control his own affairs. The truth is that forces he does not understand and has not invited sometimes bombard man. Without the power of the resurrected Christ, man is powerless against the powers of darkness. No individual can fight and defeat the devil successfully without the authority and power of Jesus Christ. These powers trade in the souls of men just like gamblers in the streets. That is why the scripture laments in Joel 3: 3 saying, “And they have cast lots for my people; and have given a boy for an harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink.” Amos 2: 6 states: “Thus saith the Lord; For three transgressions of Israel, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they sold the righteous for silver, and the poor for a pair of shoes.” This means that some people’s minds, will, emotions and intellect have been traded off, and will only return to them on the day of judgment. Only God can deliver any mind that is caged in a demonic trap. A person whose mind is demonically caged will never achieve his or her potentials in life.
