THE SOUL DOCTOR

When we are sick we look for a physician to find out what we need to cure what is alien us.

We find help as quick as possible

Mathew 9: 10 And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.

11 And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?

12 But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.

Influence of sin.

Sin is a moral disease

Sin is a universal disease

Sin is a mortal disease

(2) The character and office of Christ.

Jesus is accessible Physician

Jesus is an infallible Physician

Jesus is an unchangeable Physician

Jesus is the only appointed Physician.

(3)Christ administers our needs.

Proverbs 1: 23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.

A penitent heart.

A believing mind

A fervent devotion

A prompt obedience

Deep feelings

Sincerely renounce of our sins

Let the physician work in us.

(6) I will pour my spirit.

A convincing spirit

A quickening spirit

A comforting spirit

A sanctifying spirit
