Psalm 28 1. GOD'S AID REQUESTED - 28:1-2 (a) The Rock Who Hears - 28:1 Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me: David's Cry For A Redeemer - :1 "O Lord" David's Cry For A Rock -"Rock" sad she's sinking I'm glad on rock David's Cry For A Response - :1c "be not silent to me:" David's Cry For A Result - :1d "lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit. (b) The Rock Who Helps - 28:2 Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle. God Resides In His Holy Sanctuary - :3c toward thy holy oracle. God Responds to Supplications - Hear the voice of my supplications, God Restores By Strength - :3b when I lift up my hands 2 Cor 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2. GOD'S ADVERSARIES REJECTED - 28:3-5 Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, (a) The Reasons For Their Rejection by God - 28:3 Rejected Because of Their Wickedness - :3a Draw me not away with the wicked, Because of Their Works - :3b and with the workers of iniquity, Because of Their Words - :3c which speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief is in their hearts. (b) The Repayment For Their Rejection of God - :4,5 Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavours: The Standard of Repayment Give them according to their deeds, The Seriousness of This Repayment - :5a Because they regard not the works of the LORD, nor the operation of his hands, The Scope of This Repayment - :5b he shall destroy them, and not build them up.

3. GOD'S AUTHORITY RESPECTED - 28:6-9 Blessed be the LORD, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications. (a) God Hears The Cry of Humans - :6, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications. Praise For His Scrutiny - :6 Blessed be the LORD, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications. Praise For His Strength - :7 The LORD is my strength Praise For His Shelter - :7 and my shield; (b) God Hears The Cry of Hearts - :7 my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. The Heart That Hopes In Him - :7 my heart trusted in him The Heart That Heeds Him - :7 and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; The Heart That Honours Him - :7 and with my song will I praise him (c) God Hears The Cry of Heirs - :8,9 The LORD is their strength, He Is Our Strength - :8 The LORD is their strength, He Is Our Salvation - :8 and he is the saving strength of his anointed. He Is Our Safety - :9 Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: He Is Our Shepherd - :9 feed them also, and lift them up for ever.
