This sermon encourages believers to truly know God, not just about Him, and to find joy, energy, and contentness in serving and sharing Him.

Introduction

Good morning, my dear family in Christ. It is a joy to be here with you today, sharing in the love and grace of our Lord, Jesus Christ. We gather here not just as a congregation, but as a family, bound by the blood of Christ, united in His love, and empowered by His Spirit.

Today, we are going to immerse ourselves in the profound beauty of Matthew 28:5-6, a Scripture passage that captures the very essence of our faith. It reads, 'The angel said to the women, 'Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.'

This passage, my dear friends, is the heartbeat of our faith. It is the cornerstone of our hope and the foundation of our joy. It is the promise of the resurrection, the prophecy of redemption, and the proclamation of divine power.

As we immerse ourselves in these truths today, let us remember the words of J.I. Packer who said, 'There's a difference between knowing God and knowing about God. When you truly know God, you have energy to serve Him, boldness to share Him, and contentment in Him.'

Isn't that the truth, dear friends? Isn't it a joy to not only know about God but to truly know Him? To experience His love, His grace, His mercy in our lives every single day? And isn't it our heart's desire to serve Him, share Him, and find our contentment in Him?

As we embark on this study today, let us do so with open hearts and minds, ready to receive what God has for us. Let us be eager to know Him more, to serve Him better, and to share Him with others.

Preparation for the Promise

When we think about the promise of the resurrection, we must first consider the preparation that was necessary. The women who went to the tomb that morning were prepared for a different reality. They were prepared to anoint a body, not to encounter an angel. They were prepared for death, not for life. They were prepared for the end, not for the beginning.

Yet, in the midst of their preparation, God was preparing something far greater. He was preparing to fulfill His promise. He was preparing to demonstrate His power. He was preparing to reveal His glory.

This is the first aspect we need to understand. God's preparation often looks different than ours. We prepare for what we can see, but God prepares for what we cannot. We prepare for what we understand, but God prepares for what we cannot comprehend. We prepare for what is, but God prepares for what will be.

This is a crucial understanding. It helps us to trust in God's plan, even when it doesn't align with ours. It helps us to have faith in His promise, even when we can't see it. It helps us to rely on His power, even when we feel powerless.

The second aspect is the nature of God's preparation. It is not haphazard or arbitrary. It is intentional and purposeful. It is designed to fulfill His promise, demonstrate His power, and reveal His glory.

Consider the angel at the tomb. He was not there by accident. He was there by design. He was there to fulfill God's promise, to demonstrate God's power, and to reveal God's glory. He was there to declare the resurrection, to confirm the prophecy, and to proclaim the victory.

This is the nature of God's preparation. It is strategic and specific. It is designed to accomplish His purpose and fulfill His plan. It is designed to bring about His will and manifest His glory.

The third aspect is the timing of God's preparation. It is not rushed or delayed. It is perfect and precise. It is aligned with His promise, synchronized with His power, and coordinated with His glory.

Consider the timing of the resurrection. It was not early or late. It was perfect. It was on the third day, just as Jesus had said. It was at the right time, in the right place, for the right purpose.

This is the timing of God's preparation. It is not dictated by our schedule or constrained by our calendar. It is determined by His promise, directed by His power, and designed for His glory.

The fourth aspect is the outcome of God's preparation. It is not uncertain or unpredictable. It is guaranteed and assured. It is anchored in His promise, backed by His power, and secured by His glory.

Consider the outcome of the resurrection. It was not a possibility or a probability. It was a certainty. It was the fulfillment of God's promise, the demonstration of God's power, and the revelation of God's glory.

This is the outcome of God's preparation. It is not dependent on our efforts or reliant on our resources. It is based on His promise, bolstered by His power, and buoyed by His glory.

In the end, the preparation for the promise is not about us. It's about God. It's about His promise, His power, and His glory. It's about His plan, His purpose, and His will. It's about His love, His grace, and His mercy.

So, as we consider the preparation for the promise, let us remember these truths. Let us trust in God's plan, rely on His power, and rejoice in His glory. Let us embrace His promise, engage with His purpose, and exalt His name. Let us live in His love, lean on His grace, and look to His mercy.

Process of the Prophecy

As we turn our attention to the process of the prophecy, we find ourselves standing at the foot of the cross, gazing up at our Savior, Jesus Christ ... View this full PRO sermon free with PRO
