The Provisions Of God

Summary: • Before God created human being, He created first all the provisions.
1. GOD IS OUR PROVIDER.
a. Philippians 4:19
And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
b. God is the provider of all our needs and He will provide.
c. God is the source of our:
i. Life.
Acts 17:24-25
“The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else.
ii. Ability and wisdom.
• Deuteronomy 8:18
But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.
• Proverbs 2:6
For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.
iii. Riches and wealth.
• Deuteronomy 28:12
The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none.
• Proverbs 10:22
The blessing of the LORD brings wealth, without painful toil for it.
2. CLAIM GOD’S PROVISION.
a. Haggai 2:19c
“ ‘From this day on I will bless you.’ ”
b. Philippians 4:19
And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
c. Psalm 37:25
I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.
d. Romans 8:32
He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
3. BE BLESSED AND BE A BLESSING
a. Blessings means two things:
i. For enjoyment.
ii. For blessing others.
b. Proverbs 11:25
A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.
c. Acts 20:35
In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”
d. Hebrews 13:16
And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
e. Galatians 6:10
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
