Summary: As I was driving today, God dropped in my Spirit how he was a promise keeper, and this is the Bible Study that I want to deal with tonight.

The Promises of God

God’s promises are sure, settled, and sealed — and they will come to pass.

2 Corinthians 1:20 (KJV)

For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.”

The first thing we must understand is that God is not a man that He should lie. When He makes a promise, it’s already done — even if you haven’t seen it yet.

A promise from God is not just a hope; it’s a divine guarantee.

If God said it, I believe it.

If He promised it, He’ll perform it!”

Point 1: God’s Promises Are sure

Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it?

Every word God speaks is anchored in His character.

His integrity is the foundation of His promise.

People may change their minds. Circumstances may shift. But God’s Word is unshakable.

When God told Abraham, “I will make you a father of many nations in Genesis 17:4, decades passed by, but the promise never expired. Delay does not mean denial.

The promise still stands.

I may not see it yet, but I’m still standing on it.

My 2nd Point is: God’s Promises Require Faith

Scripture: Hebrews 10:23

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for he is faithful that promised.

Faith is not just believing in God, but it’s believing that God will do exactly what He said.

Write this down.

Faith is like a spiritual receipt,

it proves ownership before manifestation every happens.

You don’t wait to see it to believe it; you believe it until you see it.

Here it is: Faith doesn’t look at the facts.

Faith looks at the Father.

When God promised rain to Elijah in 1st Kings 18, Elijah didn’t stop praying until he saw a small cloud.

Sometimes the promise starts small, but again it’s a sign that abundance is on the way.

My 3rd point is: God’s Promises Are Activated by Obedience

Deuteronomy 28:1-2 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee.

Some promises are unconditional, they based solely on God’s will, but others require our participation.

Here it is. You can’t live contrary to the covenant and still expect covenant blessings.

Obedience is the key that unlocks the vault of divine promises.

Come on somebody say. My obedience activates my overflow.

My faith and obedience work hand in hand.

My 4th point is: God’s Promises Give You Peace in the Process

Philippians 4:6-7

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

While you’re waiting, worship. While you’re believing, be at peace. The promise may be pending, but it’s not canceled.

When you stand on the promises of God, you don’t have to panic, you can praise.

I may not see it, but I know it’s settled.

I may not have it in my hands, but the promises are already in progress.

A farmer once planted a seed and checked the soil every day.

One week passed, then two, then three weeks, still nothing.

But what he didn’t realize was that while he saw no change above the ground, something powerful was happening beneath the ground.

Roots were growing deep, preparing to sustain the harvest.

That’s how God’s promises work. You might not see progress, but He’s working beneath the surface, arranging people, shifting time, and aligning conditions.

God is working underground.

The promises are taking root.

Here is a great place to land this plane.

Hebrews 6:12

That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Let’s do the math.

Faith + Patience = Manifestation.

When you stand in faith and refuse to quit, because God’s promises must come to pass.

If you’re holding on to a promise, don’t let go.

Whether it’s healing, provision, restoration, or even deliverance.

Because the same God who promised it is faithful to perform it.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m standing on the promises of God.

So our prayer is Lord, thank You for every promise spoken over our lives. Strengthen our faith to believe, our hearts to obey, and our patience to endure. Let Your promises manifest in our homes, ministries, and in our families.
