THE PRINCIPLE OF PROPEROUS LIFE

First of all we have to ask ourselves a question , can we live in the prosperous life? YES WE CAN!!

Before we start this afternoon, let us start with the background of this sermon first.

When our ancestors Adam and Eve committed their first sin, it opened up a gate for sin, and this gate allowed sin to enter this world. The consequences of sin are sicknesses, poverty, death that come to the man in this world. But the God that created us is an omniscient God, He knows all things, He had prepared a perfect plan of salvation for the consequences of sins, and the core and key of this plan is Jesus Christ.

Jesus is the Lord that reigns death and hades. He declared, “I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.” (Rev 1:18), without the permission of Jesus, no virus, sin, and terror could hurt you; without His permission, no storms, flood, beast, or any power could harm you. Him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open. (Rev 3:7) Jesus holds the key to every gates.

John 10:9

9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture.

The power of the evil and men could not close the gate that He had opened. It means even if the whole of hell come together to open the gate that He had closed, it would end up to be no avail. Today the key is no longer on the hands of the devil, but in the hands of Jesus. This means Jesus has the total sovereignty, He is our Lord. He wants to open up the gate of prosperity, the gate of health, the gate of prison, the gate of resurrection, then He wants to close up the gate of poverty, the gate of sicknesses, the gate of curses and the gate of death. Hallelujah!

So brothers and sisters, let me tell you this, you will surely be blessed. You can live a prosperous life. Hallelujah.

Jesus had taught us the principle of prosperity in the Bible, a path that leads to blessings. Today I want to share the revelations that God had given to me. Jesus had already opened the gate for us, we fit the terms and conditions of this blessing, what is next is, through this gate, we will receive the prosperity and blessings that our Heavenly Father had prepared for us.

Amen? Let us look at the first principle of a prosperous life

1. Obey the will of God

Abraham obeyed the will of God, when God called him to leave his homeland “Ur”, he chose to obey the will of God. What was God’s response when he did this? Let us look at

Genesis 12:1-3

12 The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.

2

“I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.

3

I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”

The problem now is, how do we know what is the will of God?

Jeremiah 33:3

3 ‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know

* *We have to pray to God. How long did you pray? Once a week or once a day? How long did your prayer last? 5 minutes? 10 minutes?

* Let us do an experiment! Let us all shout at the same time, Lord!!!

* Let me tell you this, there are millions of people praying to God everyday. Why must God listen to your prayer first? Why must God hear your voice first, why not mine? This is a question that we should really ponder about.

* So brothers and sisters, if we only pray for the sake of praying or just because it’s a religious ritual, I want to tell you this, this kind of prayer will not move God. You know when our church prays, we pray really loud, it doesn’t mean that we are more hungry when we proud louder, softer means not so hungry, but I believe that those who pray loud are hardly not hungry. Why did the Korean churches experience such great revival? Why are their brothers and sisters so greatly blessed? The greatest key is they are hungry and longing for God. How do I know? Because I can see that from the attitude they pray.
