Summary: Gods people always want to have power,to overcome the enemy, win against sin, and have impact in lives of many people. Satan always tempt us to seek higher power... but God want us to use power that were in us..
The Power We Dont Use
Gods people always want to have power.to overcome the enemy, win against sin, and have impact in lives of many people. We want people to be healed, people to change, but we like to do it with different approach, we asked for a great healing as a powerful testimony, a great miracle as a manifestation,but it is seldom allowed by God. He is more interested in power that builds our character than power that might overwhelm our capacity to handle .Satan always tempt us to seek higher power then frustrate us later when it is not granted. But God want us to use power that were in us when we trust Him.
The Power of the Fear of God. Prov 1.7 The fear of the Lord is the start of knowledge.The devil will say to you if you have fear of God as old-fashioned,super spiritual, uncompromiser. But Moses said it is power to keep us from sinning,Exo 20:20 .
"Do not fear, for God has come to test you, that the fear of him may be before you, that you may not sin."
The Power of Humility. Psa 149:4 The LORD is pleased with his people, and he gives victory to those who are humble.The devil will say if you are humble that you are weak and lacking self-confident. God is pleased with the humble ,Isaiah 66.2 “All these things my hand has made, and so all these things came to be, declares the LORD. But this is the one to whom I will look: he who is humble and contrite in spirit and trembles at my wordEHumility is Jesus way to promotion .Philippians 2:5-11. And humility In Prov 22:4 said “The reward for humility and fear of the LORD is riches and honor and life.
The Power of Unity . Psa 133:1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity! The devil always want division and strife inside family and the church because he know what the power of unity brings. God said even the most difficult task will not be impossible..Remember the tower of babel in Gen 11:6 he said: These people are working together because they all speak the same language. This is just the beginning. Soon they will be able to do anything they want.EIn Matthew Jesus spoke the power we can have if we only agree.EAgain, I say to you, that if two of you are in agreement on earth about anything for which they will make a request, it will be done for them by my Father in heavenEMt 18:19
When you accepted Christ, fear of God, humility, and unity is power already available in us. The devil will make us hard to apply them because utilizing them brings great things to happen.
