Summary: In the early church, their first response was to go to God in prayer. Is it also ours?
-- It’s out with yesterday’s trash because they weren’t expecting it
Conclusion
Here’s the BIG IDEA for today’s message (there’s only one):
1. When God answers, how do you respond if it’s not what you thought?
God’s direction to the church here is clear – pray and look for His answer
-- Not “pray for what you want and demand God to do so in your will …”
-- But, “pray faithfully and reverently and God will respond”
So, what are you praying for today? What do you need to happen?
-- Maybe it’s a miracle of healing
-- Maybe it’s the salvation of a loved one
-- Maybe it’s the reconciliation and restoration of a relationship
-- Maybe it’s that we’d be more faithful to Christ and to His calling/direction
Whatever it is, the Bible is clear … Re-read v5
The church was, earnestly, praying. Are we praying like this?
