Summary: Prayer is a vital ingredient of every Believer. It is a tool given by God to communicate with Him. Prayer also bridges the gap between Man and God.

There are some very common sayings about Prayer like 'where there is Prayer there is Power'. 'No Prayer no power'. 'More Prayer more power'. It is a very vital ingredient to maintain and sustain a relationship with God. It also acts as a bridge which minimizes or curtails the gap between Man and God.

All through the Bible, people who accomplished great things for God were those who prayed. During the life of the Lord Jesus Christ on the face of the earth we learn that He often prayed. The results were also evident. Similarly, when the Apostles in the Book of Acts and in the early Church prayed lot of significant things have been recorded.

Prayer alone can help us build that communication with God and also allows us to develop that intimacy with Him. Personal Prayer is having a personal time with God. It is a basic necessity. In order to sustain in our Spiritual life one has to have a personal time with God. Corporate Prayer is also very important and helps the Kingdom of God advance especially when people of God gather together in Prayer. Some of the examples which is enumerated below.

It is specified in Acts 4:31 that after they prayed the place where they had gathered was shaken and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and they spoke the Word of God with boldness. This Scripture is very powerful and speaks volumes. It is mentioned that after they prayed some very significant things occurred. The place where they had assembled was shaken. What a powerful vision of such great manifestation of God. This is also an example of how the Lord moves when the Church prays. Not many people nor Churches realize this. There is a great Movement of God where there is corporate Prayer. It is also important that unity among the people of God exist for God to move. Why we do not see the Work of God is just because there is no unity among the Body of Christ. Church is a powerful entity that could make a difference in the world but sadly not many realize this. Let us make an effort to see the world being transformed and many turning to Christ. This is only possible through Prayer.

Another amazing incident is mentioned in Acts 12 where Apostle Peter was arrested for the preaching of the Gospel. Acts 12:5 specifies that constant prayer was offered by the Church. That is an amazing Scripture. Constant Prayer, continuous Prayer was being made by the Church. Something happened right there in the Prison. The Bible says that the Angel of the Lord appeared and struck Peter who was in deep sleep. The chains that bound Peter fell off and he was led out of the prison and the doors opened by itself. Even the city gate opened by itself. The Angel of the Lord led Peter until he came to his senses and knew it was God who was working. All praise and glory to the Lord Jesus Christ.

It is high time the Church realizes the power of Prayer in order to see the world being transformed.

God bless you abundantly !!!
