Starting from

Romans 1:16 Paul says this :

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

Another translation puts it this way

For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile. (NLT)

What is the Gospel?

Is the teaching and revelation of Christ

It is the good news of Jesus Christ

It is the record of Christ's life and teaching in the first four books of the New Testament.

So the book of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are the life of Christ when he was here on earth.

Reading or studying the first books of the new testament brings a deep revelation of:

- The love of Christ

- The life of Christ

- The power of Christ

- The truth of Christ

And when we look into the four gospels with the help of the Holy Spirit there is:

Salvation

Healing

Deliverance

Freedom

Peace

Prosperity

The four gospels is truly Christ being revealed to us as the only begotten Son of God. Jesus had to come to earth to redeem us from the hands of our enemy has recorded in Matthew chapter 1:21-23 "And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”

It was the love of God that made Him gave up His Only Begotten Son, and this is recorded in John 3:16.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

Jesus paid the price for our Salvation. In other to be forgiven of our sins and to live eternally with God. We must believe in Jesus Christ and receive him into our lives. And has we do this his power will be at work in our lives. And this means that all his promises will be at work in our lives.

This power of God in our lives brings:

SALVATION

Romans 10:13

For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Acts 2:38

Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 19:25-26

When His disciples heard it, they were greatly astonished, saying, “Who then can be saved?” But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Romans 10:9-10

That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

The power of God in our lives not only brings Salvation in our lives but brings:

Healing

Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.

Exodus 15:26

And said, “If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you.

And He saved them out of their distresses.

And You healed me.

Isaiah 53:4-5

Surely He has borne our griefs

And carried our sorrows;

Yet we esteemed Him stricken,

Smitten by God, and afflicted.

But He was wounded for our transgressions,

He was bruised for our iniquities;

The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,

And by His stripes we are healed.

The power of God in our lives brings deliverance.

Psalms 34:17

The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears,
