The Nature Of Our God

Summary: People need to know who God is.
THE NATURE OF OUR GOD
1st John 4;8He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
When we look at God from the stand point of all creation we can see he is the God Of GODS .
1.God is ----A God of knowledge
1st Samuel 2;3 Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.
We try to be know it alls
We are proud and arrogant
Our mouth over loads our knowledge
God knows our actions and weighs them.
2. God is and infinite God
Psalms 147;5Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.
God is endless immeasurable (infinite)
There is no starting are ending
His power is unlimited
He is our Lord
3.God is and eternal God
Isaiah 9:6For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
He is the government of our lives
He is our counselor of our souls
He is the mighty God that oversees us
He is the prince of our peace
Our ever lasting father
4. God is unchangeable
Mal. 3:6For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
We change
We change his word
God never changes
He is always the same
He keeps his word
5.God is a spirit
John 4;24God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
We must have the spirit are we don’t have God
We must worship him in the spirit
We must worship him in the truth
As he has instructed us to do
6.God is above all
Eph.4:5One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Only lord only faith only baptism
Just one God
He is the father of all
He is above all
He must be in all (saved)
7.Our God is love
1st John 4;7Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
Got to love those that hate you
Got to love each other
If you are born of God
