What is God?

Numbers 23:19, "God is not a man.”

John 4:24, "God is spirit." Luke 24:39, “A spirit does not have flesh and bones.”

Job 23:8-9, "Behold, I go forward but He is not there, And backward, but I cannot perceive Him; When He acts on the left, I cannot behold Him; He turns on the right, I cannot see Him.”

Isaiah 46:5, 9, "To whom would you liken Me, And make Me equal and compare Me, That we should be alike? … I am God, and there is no one like Me.”

Exodus 3:13-14, “Then Moses said to God, ‘Behold, I am going to the sons of Israel, and I shall say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you.’ Now they may say to me, ’What is His name?’ What shall I say to them?’ And God said to Moses, ‘I AM WHO I AM’; and He said, ‘Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ’I AM has sent me to you.’"

Who made God?

Isaiah 43:10, "Before Me there was no God formed, And there will be none after Me.”

Isaiah 44:6, "Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel And his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: ’I am the first and I am the last, And there is no God besides Me.”

How old is God?

Psalm 93:2, “Thy throne is established from of old; Thou art from everlasting.”

Psalm 90:2, 4, “Before the mountains were born, Or Thou didst give birth to the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, Thou art God….For a thousand years in Thy sight Are like yesterday when it passes by, Or as a watch in the night.”

Psalm 102:12, 25-27, “But Thou, O LORD, dost abide forever; And Thy name to all generations… Of old Thou didst found the earth; And the heavens are the work of Thy hands. Even they will perish, but Thou dost endure; And all of them will wear out like a garment; Like clothing Thou wilt change them, and they will be changed. But Thou art the same, And Thy years will not come to an end.”

1 Timothy 1:17, “Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.”

How big is God?

2 Chronicles 2:6, "But who is able to build a house for Him, for the heavens and the highest heavens cannot contain Him? So who am I, that I should build a house for Him, except to burn incense before Him?

Isaiah 66:1-2, “Thus says the LORD, ‘Heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool. Where then is a house you could build for Me? And where is a place that I may rest? For My hand made all these things, Thus all these things came into being,’ declares the LORD.”

Jeremiah 23:23-24, "‘Am I a God who is near,’ declares the LORD, ‘And not a God far off? Can a man hide himself in hiding places, So I do not see him?’ declares the LORD. ‘Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?’ declares the LORD.”

Psalm 139:7-10, “Where can I go from Thy Spirit? Or where can I flee from Thy presence? If I ascend to heaven, Thou art there; If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, Thou art there. If I take the wings of the dawn, If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, Even there Thy hand will lead me, And Thy right hand will lay hold of me.”

How powerful is God?

Genesis 17:1, “Now when Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, ‘I am God Almighty; Walk before Me, and be blameless.’”

Jeremiah 32:17, “’Ah Lord GOD! Behold, Thou hast made the heavens and the earth by Thy great power and by Thine outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for Thee.”

Psalm 135:6, “Whatever the LORD pleases, He does, In heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps.”

Job 42:2, "I know that Thou canst do all things, And that no purpose of Thine can be thwarted.”

Isaiah 40:28, “Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth does not become weary or tired.”

How smart is God?

Psalm 147:5, “Great is our Lord, and abundant in strength; His understanding is infinite.”

Isaiah 55:8-9, "‘For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Neither are your ways My ways,’ declares the LORD. ‘For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.’”

Proverbs 3:19, “The LORD by wisdom founded the earth; By understanding He established the heavens.”
