The Mind Of Christ

Summary: Jesus, through the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit, has given us all that we need to live in the realm of the supernatural. The mind of Christ is given to all believers through the Spirit of God. But we must activate the mind of Christ ourselves!
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
God tells us that He has a plan already in place that will prosper us.
A plan is already in place that will give us hope AND a future.
It’s not just about the goals we have in life, or our health or our finances.
It’s a super plan that gives us the ability to have everything Heaven offers!
The ONLY stipulation is that we seek Him with ALL OF OUR HEART!
To do that, we have to be open and alert to hear Him when He speaks to us!
The more we listen, the more He speaks.
Just the way it is in EVERY relationship!!!
Let’s look at one of the greatest examples from the Bible.
In the 12th Chapter of Genesis, God gave Abraham (the Father of Faith) 3 commands:
1) Get out of your country.
Leave the world system.
2) Leave your family.
Leave what you have learned and inherited.
3) Leave your father’s house.
Leave your status quo, pre-conceived thinking behind.
When we put it all together God is commanding Abraham to:
Leave what you know, and choose what is known only by me.
In other words, stop using his own mind, and start trusting God’s mind!
Which he did.
As a result: Abraham didn’t just go to another place.
He went to another REALM.
The realm of the supernatural.
I believe these 3 commands reveal 3 realms of the supernatural.
1. You are spiritually born again.
Jesus becomes the Lord of your life through your confession.
1st realm.
Get out of your country.
Leave the world system.
In the NT this is: Becoming a NEW creature.
In this realm:
You understand that God has a plan for your life.
You know things have to change.
You don’t know exactly how to accomplish everything.
You struggle between your new life and your old life.
Most Christians STOP right here.
2. You ask for and receive the Baptism in the Holy Spirit
2nd realm.
1st Corinthians 2:12
We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us.
Leave your family.
Leave what you have learned and inherited.
In the NT this is: Your spirit becomes EMPOWERED by the Holy Spirit.
In this realm:
You begin to see into the Spirit and are guided toward God’s plan for your life by the Spirit.
You rely on the Holy Spirit to bring about the necessary changes by overcoming them in the Spirit.
You are now conscious that the battles in your life are between your spirit and your soul.
MOST of the time you are able to leave the old self behind and taste victory.
Most charismatic Christians STOP right here.
1st Corinthians 2:16
But we have the mind of Christ. (This is what God has “freely given us.”)
Rather, clothe yourselves with (put on) the Lord Jesus Christ…
3. You have to activate the mind of Christ you’ve been given.
This activation process is not AUTOMATIC.
If I get a credit card, I have to ACTIVATE it or it is useless to me.
We have to PUT ON HIS MIND!
That’s right, just like putting on our Spiritual Armor!
The Renewing of Our Mind begins to explode and takes us to totally new levels of increasing understanding.
With increasing understanding comes increasing POWER!
With increasing POWER comes increasing MANIFESTATIONS!
3rd realm.
Leave your father’s house.
Leave your status quo, pre-conceived thinking.
In the NT this is: Take on the Mind of Christ.
In this realm:
You clearly understand how to walk in God’s plan.
You know exactly what must change.
You know exactly how to accomplish it.
You leave everything you have learned in the world behind.
What ruled you, you now rule over.
Wholeness and holiness reign in your life.
You have no struggle with doubt and fear!
How is this possible?
In Jesus mind, there was never even an ounce of doubt or fear!!!
Every disciple of Jesus had to leave who and what they were behind.
Why?
We can’t remain who we were before responding to Christ and enter into the abundance of the Kingdom of God.
Here’s what God is trying to tell us in these days:
The Kingdom of God isn’t coming, it’s here.
Jesus brought it here.
We are NOW in the hour when we MUST move quickly into the 3rd realm!
