Psalms 31:20 (Amplified Bible)

31:20 In the secret place of Your presence You hide them from the plots of men; You keep them secretly in Your pavilion from the strife of tongues.

V. THESIS:

Praise, worship and thank You very much LORD JESUS for You protect me by hiding me in Your Presence from plots of men and strife of tongues.

The LORD will hide us in the secret place of His Presence.

Hide or "sathar" in Hebrew meaning:

1. to hide

2. be absent, keep close, conceal, hide, secret, surely

Secret or "sether sithrah" in Hebrew meaning:

1. a cover

2. covering, covert, hiding place, privily, protection, secret place

Presence or "panym" in Hebrew meaning:

1. the face

2. countenance

The LORD will protect us from the following as we learn from this verse.

A. Pride of man - harmful plots of men against us

"In the secret place of Your presence You hide them from the plots of men;"

Pride or "rokes" in Hebrew meaning: a snare, pride

Pride as defined by Webster dictionary: Inordinate self-esteem; an unreasonable conceit of one's own superiority in talents, beauty, wealth, accomplishments, rank or elevation in office, which manifests itself in lofty airs, distance, reserve, and often in contempt of others.
