IV. TEXT:

Exodus 14:11-14 (Amplified Bible)

14:11 And they said to Moses, Is it because there are no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you treated us this way and brought us out of Egypt?

14:12 Did we not tell you in Egypt, Let us alone; let us serve the Egyptians? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness.

14:13 Moses told the people, Fear not; stand still (firm, confident, undismayed) and see the salvation of the Lord which He will work for you today. For the Egyptians you have seen today you shall never see again.

14:14 The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest.

12:42 It was a night of watching unto the Lord and to be much observed for bringing them out of Egypt; this same night of watching unto the Lord is to be observed by all the Israelites throughout their generations.

12:43 The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, This is the ordinance of the Passover: No foreigner shall eat of it;

VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. Stand still and see the salvation of GOD

"14:13 Moses told the people, Fear not; stand still (firm, confident, undismayed) and see the salvation of the Lord which He will work for you today. For the Egyptians you have seen today you shall never see again."

Psalms 18:16-19 (Amplified Bible)

18:16 He reached from on high, He took me; He drew me out of many waters.

18:17 He delivered me from my strong enemy and from those who hated and abhorred me, for they were too strong for me.

18:18 They confronted and came upon me in the day of my calamity, but the Lord was my stay and support.

18:19 He brought me forth also into a large place; He was delivering me because He was pleased with me and delighted in me.

Joshua and Caleb realized that the people of the land are only bread for them because the LORD is with them.

Numbers 14:9 (Amplified Bible)

14:9 Only do not rebel against the Lord, neither fear the people of the land, for they are bread for us. Their defense and the shadow [of protection] is removed from over them, but the Lord is with us. Fear them not.

Deuteronomy 20:3 (Amplified Bible)

20:3 And shall say to them, Hear, O Israel, you draw near this day to battle against your enemies. Let not your [minds and] hearts faint; fear not, and do not tremble or be terrified [and in dread] because of them.

Elisha saw in his spiritual eyes that those that are with us are more than those with them.

2 Kings 6:16 (Amplified Bible)

6:16 [Elisha] answered, Fear not; for those with us are more than those with them.

B. The LORD will fight for you, you shall hold your peace and remain at rest

"14:14 The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest."

How will the LORD fight for us?

"For the Egyptians you have seen today you shall never see again." that's the answer we got from Moses, but here's the answer we got from the Egyptians as they experience first hand how the LORD fights for the Israelites, Exodus 14:25

Exodus 14:25 (Amplified Bible)

14:25 And bound (clogged, took off) their chariot wheels, making them drive heavily; and the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel, for the Lord fights for them against the Egyptians!
