VIII. MAIN BODY:
Numbers 14:20 (Amplified Bible)
And the Lord said, I have pardoned according to your word.
Numbers 14:20 (King James Version)
And the LORD said, I have pardoned according to thy word:
A. The LORD pardons
"And the LORD said, I have pardoned"
Pardons means: forgive or spare according to "salach" it's Hebrew word.
Pardon means to forgive; to remit; as an offense or crime. Guilt implies a being bound or subjected to censure, penalty or punishment. To pardon, is to give up this obligation, and release the offender. We apply the word to the crime or to the person. We pardon an offense, when we remove it from the offender and consider him as not guilty; we pardon the offender, when we release or absolve him from his liability to suffer punishment. Some people in the bible who prayed for forgiveness and pardon:
1. The LORD JESUS CHRIST - is beyond infinitely amazing. He forgives and forgets, somethings humans can't do.
Luke 23:34 (Amplified Bible)
And Jesus prayed, Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. And they divided His garments and distributed them by casting lots for them.
Why what did they do to JESUS?
Psalms 22:18 (Amplified Bible)
They part my clothing among them and cast lots for my raiment (a long, shirtlike garment, a seamless undertunic). [John 19:23, 24.])
John 19:23-24 (Amplified Bible)
Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took His garments and made four parts, one share for each soldier, and also the tunic (the long shirtlike undergarment). But the tunic was seamless, woven [in one piece] from the top throughout.
So they said to one another, Let us not tear it, but let us cast lots to decide whose it shall be. This was to fulfill the Scripture, They parted My garments among them, and for My clothing they cast lots. So the soldiers did these things.
The LORD JESUS CHRIST wants us to follow His examples:
Matthew 6:14-15 (Amplified Bible)
For if you forgive people their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and iving up resentment], your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
But if you do not forgive others their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and iving up resentment], neither will your Father forgive you your trespasses.
Matthew 18:35 (Amplified Bible)
So also My heavenly Father will deal with every one of you if you do not freely forgive your brother from your heart his offenses.
Mark 11:25 (Amplified Bible)
And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him and let it drop (leave it, let it go), in order that your Father Who is in heaven may also forgive you your [own] failings and shortcomings and let them drop.
