The Lord Loves You!

Summary: Do you remember growing up, and getting punished when you did something that your parents told you not to do?
We are children of God, and God loves us dearly. When we are children of God we will get punished when we do something that we are not suppose to do. God will punish us not because he does not love us but because he loves us dearly.
My son, do not despise the LORD's discipline and do not resent his rebuke, because the LORD disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in.
Proverbs 3:11-12 (NIV)
The Lord God will always want us to go in the right direction in life. However none of us are perfect so sometimes we get off track, however God still loves us and he wants us to grow. So sometimes the Lord has to discipline us to first teach us a lesson, and second he disciplines us to make us stronger.
If the Lord did not discipline us we would not ever be able to grow. No matter how old we get we must always remember that the older we get the more we must grow. Sometimes the best way for us to grow is by being disciplined by God. When God disciplines us he does so out of love not out of anger.
So the next time God disciplines you remember these things:
1. You are being disciplined for something that you have done.
2. God is striving to teach you a lesson.
3. God is making you a stronger person.
4. All because God disciplines you, it does not mean that God does not love you. It means that he loves you dearly!
