To Be A Deliverer

Text: Judges 13:1-5

"And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the Lord; and the Lord delivered them into the hand of the Philistines forty years. and there was a certain man of Zorah, of the family of the Danites, whose name was Manoah; and his wife was barren, and bare not. And the angel of the Lord appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now, thou art barren, and barest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son. Now beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing: For, Lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines."

(NAZERITE): consecrated, dedicated, people of a vow

1) A renunciation of wine and all products of the vine including grapes;

2) Prohibition of the use of a razor;

3) Avoidance of contact with a dead body.

When Jesus sets you free he does it for a reason, not to just sit on a pew or to just to go to church but the Lord has raised you up to be a deliver!!!! He has a people just waiting for you to raise up.

He just didn’t raise you up to be a deliver but from the womb He had a plan for your life,

But from the womb he called you to praise him, He just wants to be praised!!!!! There is nobody like JESUS no not no where, and no body can do like JESUS can.

When you get renewed in your mind, then you know who JESUS is. If he had not touched you this morning then you couldn’t have even got up this morning. If He had not breathed breath into you this morning then you would be dead THANK GOD FOR JUST ANOTHER DAY. Is there a church in here today that knows who He is?

Israel was in a process of going through a time of bondage and God would raise up a deliverer and the deliverer would led them out of bondage and down the road they would turn back to serving Idols and go right back into bondage.

I believe the Lord has some delivers in this house, I believe the Lord has some Moses, Esther’s, some Pauls, Peters, Samson’s, in this house who has been called to worship JESUS, who has been called from the womb to be a deliverer. That’s right they are some sitting right here on these pews. Your faces aren’t painted on some billboard and they most likely will not be in some famous magazine, but over 2000 year ago your names were called out in the blood of JESUS. And when you are raised up you will come out with a word of prophecy from the LORD!!!!!

The Lord will have a people that will go forth as a warrior going forth into battle proclaiming the Word of the Lord, un-compromising, un-wavering, not afraid to speak “Thus sayeth the Lord.”

They may be sitting in sin right now but God is calling them.

They may be sitting in failure right now but God is calling them.

They may be sitting in a crack house right now but God is calling them.

They may be sitting smoking dope hooked on drugs but God is calling them.

But when God raises them up Hell had better look out because they are coming out in a powerful anointing!!!!!

You can’t be a deliverer until you first have been delivered. You see the church can’t be a deliverer because we are so mush in bondage are self . But who the Son sets free is free indeed. And where the spirit of the Lord is there is liberty. God wants to make you a deliverer.

GOD raised Samson up and the Bible says that Samson went down to Timnath (TIM- NIGH) and he saw a woman of the world there. God never called Samson to join the world but he called him to join him. He was called to be a deliverer but he messed up. When you get your eyes off of God and on the world friend, you will mess up. I said it last Sunday, but hear it again, You are, or you will be what you hang with. If you hang with dope addicts, you will become a dope addict. If you hang with drunkards, you will become a drunkard…….

Samson broke 3 vows to God.

1) His first covenant that he broke was: He touched something dead.

A lion jumped out of the bushes and Samson killed the lion with his own bare hands. So when he was coming back from Timnath he reached his hand inside the dead lion and got some honey and took it back to his parents and gave it to them. How many times has God given us victory over something but we keep going back to it. Listen to me now church, we as children of God can’t be like a pig. You know, you can take a pig out of the mud, clean it up, tie a pink ribbon around it’s neck, but as soon as you let it go, it will return to the mud hole. When God give you victory over something, stay away from that, that entices you. It’s like some churches you go get a dead word and than want to give that dead word to people. But, I want you to know that this Word is not dead, but alive, and we need to act like it is alive, and tell everybody that we serve a Live God not a dead one.
