Summary: It's very important to know God's Will for our life. We should be always obedient to God and submit ourselves to Him to lead us in the right path.

THE LORD DIRECTS OUR STEPS

Proverbs 16:9

A man’s heart plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps.

This verse is a good reminder for all of us. We often dream and make plans for our future. Many times, we take some decisions in life, thinking that it is the right path for our dreams to come true.

But we need to remember that it is the LORD who directs our steps. The LORD knows what is best for us. HE does everything in our lives according to HIS plan and purpose. HE may lead us in green pastures where our life’s journey is so pleasant. But sometimes, HIS will for our lives may be different. HE may lead us through the desert or the valley of tears where life can be so difficult to bear.

My friend, I don’t know whether you are going through a rough path right now and all your plans and dreams are shattered. Remember that our heavenly FATHER cares for you. HE knows what is best for you. HIS plan and purpose for your life may be different from others around you. But remember, our LORD holds you by HIS precious hand and HE is always there to lead you step by step. HE is our good Shepherd. HE will lead us in the path that is set for us. Rely on the LORD. Hold on to HIS mighty hand. Be encouraged that HE has promised that HE will never leave you nor forsake you.

All we have to do is this: we need to put GOD first in our life. We should love HIM with all our heart. We should read HIS Word and pray to HIM daily. We should have the fear of the LORD. If we seek HIM every moment of our life, even though our path is rough, we can be assured that the HOLY SPIRIT will teach us lessons and will guide us step by step. Our life on earth is not permanent. The ETERNAL LIFE with JESUS should be our priority. We are just pilgrims and sojourners in this world. We need GOD’s hand to lead us and direct our steps.
