Look at all the good we have done reaching the community bringing in less than this every week.
Acts 20:17-21
17 And from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called the elders of the church.
18 And when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye know, from the first day (he got busy) that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons,
19 Serving the Lord with all humility of mind (without pride), and with many tears (compassion), and temptations (control over sin), which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews:
20 And how I kept back (He gave his all) nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly (Among everyone out in the open), and from house to house (personal and private),
21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks (without prejudice the Gospel message is open to all), repentance (turning from sin, surrendering it to God) toward God, and faith (true belief in Jesus Christ) toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
There is a mission ground to reach in our own city, Fairborn, Ohio.
Population 33,780 minus 10% saved leaves over 30,400 lost in Fairborn!
Three parts to
Soul Winning
His Part: Jesus Christ in us, the Holy Spirit
Our Part: Going and speaking
Their Part: Accepting or rejecting
Matthew 4:18-22
His part the call. 18 And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.
19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
20 And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.
21 And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.
22 And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.
Jesus gave the call and they answered
He gives us that call today, will you follow him?
Mark 1:17
And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.
Our part: Matthew 4:22 And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.
Jesus gave the call and they answered.
The question today is: Are you aquarium keepers, or fishers of men?
We have received power from Jesus Christ through his Holy Spirit to make known the Gospel.
Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
2 Corinthians 6:11
O ye Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged.
Ephesians 6:19
And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
Their part: To accept or reject.
We must give them the Word of God in Spirit in truth that they may feel the conviction of God and repent with faith, with belief in Jesus Christ as the only Way to Heaven.
The decision though is up to them. It is not a forced prayer.
They are not accepting or rejecting you and me. It is between them and Jesus.
Now to you here today.
Do you know Jesus Christ as your Savior?
The Bible says (Romans 3:10) There is none righteous, no not one.
Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
Romans 3:23 For all Have sinned and come short of the glory of God
John 14:6 Jesus says: I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Acts 2:21
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Acts 10:43
To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
Will you step out of your seat and come to an old fashioned altar prayer and receive Jesus Christ today?
