The King Is In Town … Maybe?
Space Coast Prayer Network Meeting Review
Jackson Senyonga- Uganda- brought an Apostolic Word- a word that establishes truth in an area.
1 Cor 3:10 According to the grace of God which was given to me, like a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another is building on it-
Jackson laid a foundation that can be built on- a foundation that can lead to revival.
That largely depends on how we respond to it.
Uganda- experiencing revival- every level of society.
Complaint- difficult to live in Uganda and not be a Christian.
The government is seeking help from the church.
Transformation has take place in Uganda- in Jackson’s words- THE KING IS IN TOWN!
How can you tell when the King in town?
When you can see more clearly what God is doing than what Satan is doing.
God spoke to Jackson the same word He spoke to us-
I am tired of your small mind about my work!
God was saying … learn to THINK BIG!
When the angel Gabriel came to speak to Mary-
Lk 1:35 The angel answered and said to her, " The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy Child shall be called the Son of God.
Then he said to Mary …
37 "For nothing will be impossible with God."
God spoke to us-He can make the impossible possible
We must learn to DREAM BIG!
This is not presumption- it is presumption when you live like God is small and cannot do anything.
Actually the Bible calls that UNBELIEF.
You can actually, Biblically take that further …
Heb 3:12 Take care, brethren, that there not be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart that falls away from the living God. NASU
Look what Jesus says …
John 10:10 "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. NASU
Unbelief allows the thief of John 10:10 to steal from us what God has given/wants to do in/through us.
If we want to see our city taken for God then …
We must put pressure on the enemy so that he will leave the city (Jackson Senyonga).
The responsibility to bring change in the Kingdom’s that rule a city lies at the foot of the church.
Society, government, educational institutions- cannot bring the change that is necessary.
It is going to require-church getting serious about God.
The Sin of the nation is crying louder than the voice of prayer.
We can have revival from desperation or destruction (Jackson Senyonga).
Uganda is experiencing revival as a result of Idi Amin, destruction, mass murder.
One last point from Jackson I want to leave with us …
Ex33:15 … he said to Him, "If Your presence does not go w/us, do not lead us up from here.
The US has accepted what Moses had rejected.
Moses told God he would not go without God.
The US has said we would go without God.
We have become …
a great nation
experienced prosperity
security,
… all a result of God’s blessing, but …
… we have left God out of the picture.
We have forgotten our call and rejected the God that has so richly blessed us.
Concluding Thoughts
When Jesus came 2000 years ago …
He stood at the end of an old era and
on the brink of a new era-
one predicted by- prophets years before.
The Kingdom of God is here, but in all its fullness …
it has come, and it is yet to come,
it is here, and it is tomorrow,
it is now, and it is future.
The age to come has broken into this age, but the old age continues along with it (Intrater/Juster).
We live in an age filled w/opportunity/possibilities.
2006 is a year of opportunity filled with great possibilities that will be realized through our faith and obedience.
It will take …
desperation,
great humility,
big faith, and
courageous obedience
… if we are going to turn our communities and our nation around.
The disciples saw Jesus walking across the water …
Matt 14:29 And He said, "Come!" And Peter got out of the boat, and walked on the water and came toward Jesus. NASU
Jesus Himself said …
John 14:12 "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.
In the letter to the church at Philadelphia …
Rev 3:8 ’ I know your deeds. Behold, I have put before you an open door which no one can shut, because you have a little power, and have kept My word, and have not denied My name. NASU
