Summary: We all must go before the Christ are you ready?
THE JUDGEMENT SEAT OF CHRIST
2ND Corinthians 5: 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
The Greek word (Bema) when translated Judgment seat .
1. The time the day of Christ.
Philippians 1: 10 That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;
:
2nd Corinthians 5: 5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.
Philippians 1: 6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
2. The Judge.
2nd Timothy 4: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
John5: 22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:
3. Persons judged.
2ND Corinthians 5: 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
All belivers.
4. Standard used.
1st Corinthians 4: 1 Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.
2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.
3 But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man's judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self.
4 For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.
5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.
Faithfulness not success.
5. Severity of the test.
1st Corinthians 3: 13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
6. Reward or Loss.
1st Corinthians 3: 14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
7. The main goal of all is eternal life.
1st Peter 5: 4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.
1st Peter 5: 10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
