For it is good to sing praises to our God; For it is pleasant, and praise is beautiful. 2 The Lord builds up Jerusalem; He gathers together the outcasts of Israel.3 He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds. 4 He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name.

Here it says that “GOD HEALS THE BROKENHEARTED”.

Our hearts have been broken so many times…we can’t remember all of them.

When our heart doesn’t heal correctly, it affects our future

Too many people are dragging around their past, looking for future

That one mistake ----keeps us from becoming what we already are

We get the wrong Identity—that makes us….Angry, Bitter, and Envious

Why is there such failure in areas of: Friendships, Marriage, Parenting

All of that baggage is still in us

My Husband drives me crazy, My wife don’t understand me-

My husband doesn’t love me like he should— My kids drive me nuts

Proverbs 4:23 Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.

How do we change our heart?

1. Realize that it wasn’t God--- Job 1: 20 Then Job arose, tore his robe, and shaved his head; and he fell to the ground and worshiped. 21 And he said: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked shall I return there. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord.”

There are statements that are truly spoken…But that doesn’t make them true—

While I say that with conviction… doesn’t make it true

God removed his hedge from Job,…Everything after that, Was all SATAN

God does not take things away----HE LOVES YOU

God did not give and then take away- ….He gave… Satan took it away

We react the same---When bad happens---separate from God I DESERVED IT

Why would God “allow” babies to die, tornadoes, earthquakes, serial killers, holocausts, church shootings, rape, hate crimes, bankruptcy, cancer,

fatal accidents, The Kardashians and Justin Beiber?

God doesn’t cause these things…WE HAVE TO CHANGE YOUR VIEW

Changing your view of what he has done---

He didn’t kill people- Raised them

He didn’t hate sinners- He was nicer to them than the religious

He didn’t make people sick- He healed them

He didn’t forget people- He saw the pain

He didn’t bring the storm- He spoke and the storm stopped

2. Forgive- Colossians 3:13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the LORD forgave you.

If you want your heart to heal…must forgive

“They don’t deserve to be forgiven”…probably not

We didn’t deserve it, but we got it.

We DON’T GET TO DECIDE IF WE FORGIVE…IT’S NOT AN OPTION!!!

Some say, “YOU haven’t forgiven ‘til you forget.”

Don’t believe that church….some pain you’ll never forget

I REMEMBER SOME PAIN…SOME PEOPLE…I HAVEN’T FORGOT!!!!

We have been pardoned of a great debt… let’s return the favor

3. Share the love you didn’t get- Acts 10: 36 The word which God sent to the [a]children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ—He is Lord of all— 37 that word you know, which was proclaimed throughout all Judea, and began from Galilee after the baptism which John preached: 38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. 39 And we are witnesses of all things which He did both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem, whom [b]they killed by hanging on a tree.

Notice what Jesus did…and what it got him.

We complain about—what happened to us

Turn around do the same thing to someone else

If it has hurt you so much, then let it stop with you

The healing you need, may be in watching someone else be healed.

Never forget that God is on Your side, And He’s ready to heal your broken Heart

4. Check your Speech- Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
