2 Chronicles 6:12-7:3 THE HOUSE GOD BLESSES

I. IS A HOUSE OF PRAYER 6:12-31

A. A Place For Communion - V. 12-19

Isa. 56:7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

Matt. 21:13. And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

B. A Place For Consolation - V. 20-21 There is a God in Heaven who cares for you,

1 Pet. 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Phil. 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

C. A Place For Counsel - V. 22-23 The Word Of God.

Here Solomon says that when there is trouble between 2 parties, that the place to settle that is before the presence of the Lord in prayer.

D. A Place For Courage - V. 24-25

Isa. 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

E. A Place For Confession V. 26-30

Pro 28:13. He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

1 John 1:9. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

F. A Place For Consecration - V. 31 That they may fear thee, to walk in thy ways, so long as they live in the land which thou gavest unto our fathers.

II. IS A HOUSE OF PEOPLE 6:32-42

A. A Place For The Stranger - V. 32-33

B. A Place For The Soldier - V. 34-35

C. A Place For The Stray - V. 36-39

D. A Place For The Saint - V. 40-42 O LORD God, be clothed with salvation, and let thy saints rejoice in goodness.

Psa. 22:3. But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

III. IS A HOUSE OF POWER Ch 7:1-2 and the glory of the LORD filled the house.

A.Of Miraculous Power - V. 1a the fire came down from heaven

B Of Meticulous Power - and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices;

C Of Manifest Power - V. 1b and the glory of the LORD filled the house.

Mark 2:1 And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house.

D Of Matchless Power - 2 And the priests could not enter into the house of the LORD,

IV. IS A HOUSE OF PRAISE 7:3 And when all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the LORD upon the house, they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground upon the pavement, and worshipped, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.

A. The Wonder In Praise - they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground

Psa. 50:23 Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.

Heb 13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

B. The Worship In Praise - and worshipped, and praised the LORD

John 4:23-24 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

C. The Words In Praise - saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.
