THE MESSAGE
THE HONOUR THAT COMES FROM GOD

1.GOD HONOURS US TO COMFORT US
"Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up.
You will increase my honor and comfort me once again. " Psalm 71 :20-21
God honours us to comfort us and heal our broken hearts .The blessings of God is a healing balm for all the pain and agony we have endured.
2.GOD HONOURS THOSE WHO WE SERVE HIM
"Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me." John 12:26
God honours us when we serve Him . The world may not honour those who serve God but The Lord will surely honour those who serve Him.
3.GOD HONOURS THOSE WHO HONOUR HIM
".... the LORD declares: ’.... Those who honor me I will honor, but those who despise me will be disdained." I Samuel 2:30
God honours us when we honour Him and give Him the glory due to Him . We must give Him all the praise and worship He deserves.
4.GOD HONOURS THOSE WHO LOVE HIM
"Because he loves me," says the LORD , "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him." Psalm 91:14-15
God honours us when we love Him with all our heart . God delights in those who delight in Him and He honours those who love Him.
5.GOD HONOURS THOSE WHO EXPERIENCED HUMILIATION
" Instead of their shame my people will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace they will rejoice in their inheritance; and so they will inherit a double portion in their land, and everlasting joy will be theirs. " Isaiah 61:7
God honours us with a double portion for the shame and humiliation we may have faced for His sake . He will fill us with joy and gladness.
6.GOD HONOURS THOSE WHO HUMBLE THEMSELVES
".... All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because,"God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble."
" Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. " I Peter 5: 5-6
" Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up." James 4:10
" For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted." Luke 14 :11
God honours us when we humble ourselves . He will lift us up and promote us to higher levels when we remain humble at all times.
7.GOD HONOURS US BEFORE OUR ENEMIES
" You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. " Psalm 23:5
" O LORD , how many are my foes! How many rise up against me!
Many are saying of me, "God will not deliver him."
But you are a shield around me, O LORD ; you bestow glory on me and lift up my head." Psalm 3: 1-3
God honours us in front of our enemies . When are enemies are eagerly watching to see us humiliated , the Lord honours us before them .
