The Great Contender

Summary: Contending for the faith is not winning arguments. It is much harder. It involves difficult things like prayer and displays of mercy.
1. Swedish Military
The Swedish military has cut back from around-the-clock-operations to a 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. schedule, Monday through Friday only. Sound crazy? It's true. Some people want to be Christians on Sunday (or Sunday morning only) and then just like all other people the rest of the week.
2. Dangers we face as believers
a. Drifting away from God and becoming empty vessels
b. Being deceived by the Adversary and his workers
3. Called to Contend for Faith -- Jude 3-4
I. Common Concerns Regarding Faith:
A. We all have a common Creator -- ONE BLOOD
B. We have all engaged in sinful behavior -- Romans 3.23
C. We all deserve eternal condemnation -- Romans 6.23
1. Eternal condemnation is real -- Jeremiah 17.10
