The Gospel According to Paul:
1) Paul – The Man! Describes himself three ways: Vs. 1
He calls himself a “servant”.
He calls himself an “apostle”.
He calls himself “set-apart”.
2) Paul’s Message to the Church in Rome.
Gospel—means good news!
The Gospel is promised in the Bible! Vs. 2
The Gospel is a person, Jesus Christ! Vs. 3
It is a Gospel of Grace! Vs. 5
It is a Gospel for the whole world! Vs. 5-6
Key: To surrender is to obey!
3) Paul’s Ministry with the Church in Rome. Vs. 7-13
Question: What do you believe a church ought to be famous for?
Impart—simply means to share.
Question: Will you Encourage, Pray, Spend Time, and Share your life with others?
4) Paul’s Motivation—in sharing his heart! Vs. 14-16
Vs. 14 “I am obligated…”
Question: Who are you obligated to?
Vs. 15 “I am so eager to preach the gospel…”
Key: The greatest thing in the world is to share Christ with somebody!
Vs. 16 “I am not ashamed of the gospel…”
Question: Why are people ashamed of the gospel?
