THE MESSAGE

THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO JOHN 3;16

1.DEITY : " FOR GOD

Salvation begins with God. It was God seeking man. It was God’s initiative to save man.God did not send Jesus because man demanded a saviour as a matter of right .God sought man even when man was not seeking God.

2.DESIRE ; " SO LOVED THE WORLD "

God’s desire towards man was love. God did not hate mankind .God did not desire to destroy mankind. God’s desire was to save mankind .God loves the world.Salvation was a result of God’s love.

3.DONATION ;" THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON "

God’s love caused him to give his best for us. True love is not revealed by empty words but through deeds and real sacrifices.People give gifts and money to express their love but no one would give their only child to die for the sins of someone else.God gave the greatest donation possible for the salvation of mankind.

4.DECLARATION ; " THAT WHOSOEVER "

God has given an open declaration that whoever desires can receive his salvation. Salvation is not restricted to any group of people or country or language.Any one who is willing can receive this great salvation.

5.DUTY ; " BELEIVETH ON HIM "

Faith is the condition for salvation for we are saved by faith not by works. We must beleive on Jesus to be saved. Beleiving on Jesus means to put our trust in Him and to surrender our lives to his will.

6.DANGER ; " SHOULD NOT PERISH "

There is a danger facing mankind .It is eternal damnation in hell for those who die without this salvation. Salvation is deliverance from a great danger.

7.DESTINY :" BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE "

The destiny that God wants to give us is eternal life with him in heaven. This is the destiny for us in the heart of God.We should not miss this destiny that God has prepared for us.
