Summary: We were not called, chosen, and anointed by God to HOLD THE FORT till Jesus comes, But to Posses the land (The violent take it by force) Faith is a violent force.

1Ti.6: 12

The bible is our training manual for strategic warfare. (It was written from a military perspective.)

Exo.15: 3 The Lord is a man of war, The Lord of hosts is his name.

2Sam.22: 35 He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.

22:40 For thou hast girded me with strength to battle.

Rev 12:11 and they overcame him by the blood of the lamb and the word or their testimony,

Josh 10:25 And Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage: for thus shall the LORD do to all your enemies against whom ye fight.

Lu.10: 19 Behold I give unto you power to tread upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

(Notice the power is for treading,)

God didn’t save us to take us to heaven, He saved you to train you, equip you, and empower you, to confront and conquer the powers of darkness.

Jn.14: 12 The works that I do shall ye do also and greater works than these shall ye do because I go unto my father.

What works did he do?

Acts 10:38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with Power who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil for God was with him.

Col.2: 15 He spoiled principalities and powers.

1Pet.5: 8 Warns us that the battle is real (Be sober be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walketh about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.)

Eph.6: 10-18 Describes the warfare as very intensive requiring an all out effort and total commitment of mind body and spirit.

It also clearly describes the child of God as the aggressor (we see this spirit in David’s warfare with Goliath) He = David was the aggressor.

For years the church was held in bondage with a Hold the fort mentality (This is contradictory to the spirit of the word.

Mt.11: 12 the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence and the violent take it by force.

Lu.19: 13 Occupy till I come, (That’s a military term meaning, DISPOSSESS AND POSSESS

God gave us his armor to fight the good fight of faith.

The safest place for the child of God is in the heat of the battle, We were born for the battle, bred for the battle, and trained for the battle, we fulfill our purpose when we are in our place in the battle.

2 Sam 11:1 And it came to pass, after the year was expired, at the time when kings go forth to battle, that David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the children of Ammon, and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried still at Jerusalem.

The great king and warrior David fell into a horrible pit of sin and deception, all because he stayed home when he should have been in the battle.

2Tim.2: 3-4 tells us that there will be hardships, that’s to be expected in a warfare.

3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

The best news of all is that we already know the outcome of this warfare, It’s already been won.

But you said I had to fight (Yes, THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH) Jesus has already won the victory, our part is to take the stand of faith and enforce that victory.

I Jn 5:4 for whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

The fight of faith is a good fight, Why? Because true living faith is never disappointed.

It is impossible for faith to lose, (According to your faith be it unto thee).
