INTRODUCTION:

Every person born into this world carries a divine destiny, a unique script written by God before time began. Our lives are not accidents; they are chapters in God’s eternal plan. The “book” seen in Revelation 5 symbolises the record of divine purposes and destinies sealed until the Lamb, Jesus Christ, opens them.

Until God opens the book, destiny remains hidden and unfulfilled. Many live below divine intention because the seal of understanding, favour, or opportunity has not yet been broken. But when the God who opens the book of destiny steps in, He reveals purpose, releases grace, and accelerates fulfilment.

Today, God is still in the business of opening books; books of remembrance, favour, restoration, and destiny. When He opens your book, forgotten dreams come alive, divine plans manifest, and your purpose begins to shine.

1. GOD IS THE AUTHOR AND KEEPER OF EVERY DESTINY

Every destiny begins and ends in God.

a) God wrote your story before your birth (Psalm 139:16)

Before you ever lived a day, God had already written every chapter of your life.

b) Destiny is not determined by circumstances (Jeremiah 1:5)

What people say or do cannot alter what God has written concerning you.

c) God’s purpose stands firm forever (Isaiah 46:10)

The counsel of the Lord cannot be changed or cancelled.

d) God holds your times in His hand (Psalm 31:15)

He controls every season of your destiny, from formation to fulfilment.

Biblical Example: God revealed Jeremiah’s calling before his birth, showing that destiny originates with Him (Jeremiah 1:4-10).

2. JESUS CHRIST ALONE OPENS THE SEALED BOOK OF DESTINY

No man can access destiny’s fullness without the Lamb of God.

a) Only the Lamb was worthy to open the scroll (Revelation 5:2-5)

Jesus, through His sacrifice, gained the authority to unlock the sealed purposes of God.

b) Salvation is the doorway to destiny (John 10:10)

A life outside Christ remains disconnected from divine purpose.

c) The Spirit of Christ reveals hidden things (1 Corinthians 2:10-12)

Through the Holy Spirit, believers gain insight into God’s eternal plans.

d) When Christ opens your book, no power can shut it (Revelation 3:7)

His authority overrides every opposition or delay in your destiny.

Biblical Example: Saul’s destiny was hidden until Jesus revealed Himself on the road to Damascus (Acts 9:3-6).

3. DIVINE ENCOUNTER IS THE KEY TO DESTINY ACTIVATION

Until there is a divine encounter, destiny remains dormant.

a) One encounter with God can change the course of your life (Genesis 32:24-28)

Jacob’s destiny shifted from struggle to greatness after meeting God.

b) God reveals destiny through divine instructions (Habakkuk 2:2-3)

Clarity comes when you seek God and write down what He shows you.

c) Every destiny requires divine direction (Proverbs 3:5-6)

Without guidance, even a great calling may never manifest.

d) Prayer is the weapon that opens the scroll of destiny (Daniel 9:2-3)

Daniel prayed until understanding and fulfilment came.

Biblical Example: Isaiah’s encounter in the temple opened his prophetic destiny (Isaiah 6:1-8).

4. GOD USES SEASONS TO UNFOLD DESTINY

Destiny unfolds progressively according to divine timing.

a) There is a set time for every divine purpose (Ecclesiastes 3:1)

Every chapter of destiny opens when its appointed time comes.

b) Waiting time is not wasted time (Habakkuk 2:3)

God uses delay to prepare you for destiny’s demands.

c) Discerning your season brings divine alignment (1 Chronicles 12:32)

Those who understand divine timing walk in wisdom and fulfilment.

d) God brings helpers into your path at strategic times (Esther 2:17)

Destiny is accelerated when divine connections appear at the right season.

Biblical Example: Joseph’s destiny opened in stages; from the pit to Potiphar’s house, to prison, and finally to the palace (Genesis 37–41).

5. WHEN GOD OPENS YOUR BOOK, YOUR STORY CHANGES FOREVER

When the seal is broken, destiny manifests with unstoppable power.

a) Divine remembrance changes forgotten stories (Esther 6:1-3)

When God opens your book, your name is remembered for honour.

b) New doors open for divine assignment (Isaiah 22:22)

God grants opportunities aligned with your calling.

c) Past failures are rewritten by divine mercy (Joel 2:25)

The pages of regret are replaced with restoration and glory.

d) Destiny fulfilment glorifies God (Matthew 5:16)

When your destiny shines, it becomes a testimony of His greatness.

Biblical Example: When God opened Mordecai’s book of remembrance, he was lifted from rejection to royal honour (Esther 6:1-11).

CONCLUSION:

Your destiny is not lost; it is written and kept safe in the hands of God. No force of darkness can erase what God has ordained for you. Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, has the key to open your destiny and bring you into divine fulfilment.
