INTRODUCTION

The word “impossible” is a human expression that reflects limitation, weakness, and lack of capacity. However, in the vocabulary of God, impossibility does not exist because all power, authority, and ability reside in Him alone. What overwhelms humanity becomes an opportunity for divine manifestation when God steps into a situation.

Throughout Scripture, God consistently demonstrates that He does not struggle with resistance, barriers, or opposition. Instead, He issues commands, and circumstances respond. Mountains melt, doors open, chains break, and destinies are restored simply because God has spoken. His authority is unquestionable, and His Word carries irresistible power.

In this message, we are reminded that our lives are not governed by circumstances, statistics, or human verdicts. The God we serve commands impossibilities to bow, and when He speaks, no power in heaven, on earth, or under the earth can resist Him. This truth calls us to faith, confidence, and total dependence on God.

1. GOD POSSESSES ABSOLUTE AUTHORITY OVER ALL THINGS

God’s authority is supreme and unrivalled, extending over every realm of existence.

God does not negotiate with situations; He rules over them. His authority is the foundation upon which impossibilities are dismantled.

a) God’s authority is unlimited (Jeremiah 32:17)

God’s power is not partial or conditional; it is absolute and all-encompassing, covering every challenge confronting humanity.

b) God rules over creation (Psalm 103:19)

The entire universe operates under God’s command, proving that no created thing can resist His authority.

c) God’s throne is above all powers (Daniel 4:35)

Every authority, visible or invisible, bows to the sovereignty of God.

d) God’s authority cannot be challenged (Job 9:4)

No force can contend successfully with God or overturn His decisions.

Biblical Example:

Pharaoh resisted God’s command, yet the Red Sea parted and Egypt was humbled, proving that God’s authority prevails over the strongest opposition (Exodus 14:21-28).

2. GOD COMMANDS IMPOSSIBILITIES THROUGH HIS SPOKEN WORD

The Word of God is the instrument through which impossibilities are subdued.

Whenever God speaks, creation listens, and circumstances realign according to His purpose.

a) God’s Word carries creative power (Hebrews 11:3)

Everything that exists was framed by God’s Word, demonstrating its unmatched authority.

b) God’s Word cannot fail (Isaiah 55:10-11)

Every Word spoken by God will accomplish its divine assignment without exception.

c) God’s Word overrides natural laws (Luke 5:4-6)

When God speaks, human logic and experience must give way to divine instruction.

d) God’s Word releases immediate results (Psalm 107:20)

Healing, deliverance, and restoration occur when God sends forth His Word.

Biblical Example:

Jesus commanded Lazarus to come out of the grave, and death bowed instantly to divine authority (John 11:43-44).

3. GOD USES IMPOSSIBLE SITUATIONS TO MANIFEST HIS GLORY

Impossibility often serves as God’s stage for revealing His greatness.

God allows situations to reach human dead-ends so that His intervention will be unmistakable.

a) God allows impossibility to build faith (Romans 4:18-21)

Faith grows when believers trust God beyond visible evidence.

b) God delays intervention to reveal His power (John 11:6)

Delay is not denial but divine timing for greater glory.

c) God ensures that no man takes the glory (2 Corinthians 4:7)

God works through weakness so that His power alone is exalted.

d) God transforms hopeless cases into testimonies (Psalm 66:12)

What seemed like an end becomes the beginning of divine celebration.

Biblical Example:

Job’s losses appeared irreversible, yet God restored him with double honour, proving that impossibility is never final with God (Job 42:10-12).

4. YOUR FAITH POSITION DETERMINES YOUR EXPERIENCE OF THE IMPOSSIBLE

Faith is the channel through which God’s command over impossibility becomes personal.

God’s power is available to all, but it is accessed through active and obedient faith.

a) Faith attracts divine intervention (Hebrews 11:6)

Without faith, it is impossible to experience God’s supernatural power.

b) Faith agrees with God’s Word (2 Corinthians 4:13)

Speaking in alignment with God’s Word activates divine authority.

c) Faith rejects fear and doubt (Mark 5:36)

Fear paralyses faith, but confidence in God releases miracles.

d) Faith responds with obedience (James 2:17)

Obedient faith moves God to act decisively.

Biblical Example:

Mary accepted God’s Word by faith, and the impossible conception of Christ became reality (Luke 1:38).

CONCLUSION

The God we serve is not limited by circumstances, opposition, or human conclusions. He commands the impossible to bow and turns impossibilities into testimonies for His glory. When He speaks, resistance collapses and destinies are realigned.

As believers, we are called to respond with unwavering faith, obedience, and confidence in God’s Word. May you encounter the God who commands the impossible to bow, and may every limitation in your life surrender to His authority.
