Description:
INTRODUCTION:
One of the most profound revelations of God in Scripture is His power to call things into being. This creative dimension of God shows us that He does not need raw materials to produce results. Where there is nothing, His word alone creates everything. His voice carries life, power, and authority.
From the very beginning of the world, we see that creation was birthed by the spoken word of God. In Genesis 1, when the earth was without form and void, God simply said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. This divine attribute reveals a God who is unlimited by time, space, or matter. He speaks, and His word materialises.
This truth is not only a historical reality but also a present assurance for every believer. The God who called the universe into being is still speaking today. He can call forth your blessings, your healing, your restoration, and your opportunities. His word remains eternal, unshaken, and full of power to bring into existence what you need in life.
1. GOD SPEAKS CREATION INTO EXISTENCE
The creative power of God is manifested in His ability to bring the invisible into reality by His spoken word.
a) God created the world by His word (Genesis 1:3). At creation, He declared, “Let there be,” and it was so.
b) The universe was framed by faith through His word (Hebrews 11:3). Things seen were made from things unseen.
c) The heavens and earth came by the breath of His mouth (Psalm 33:6). His word is living and creative.
d) God’s word cannot return void (Isaiah 55:11). Every word He speaks achieves its purpose.
Biblical Example: At creation, God spoke the world into existence, and everything came alive out of nothing (Genesis 1:1-31).
2. GOD CALLS LIFE OUT OF DEADNESS
When situations appear dead and hopeless, God’s word has the power to quicken and bring them back to life.
a) God quickens the dead (Romans 4:17). He has power to revive what is dead.
b) Jesus raised Lazarus by His word (John 11:43-44). The dead obey the command of His voice.
c) God gives life to dry bones (Ezekiel 37:4-10). By prophecy, the dry bones became a living army.
d) Christ gives abundant life (John 10:10). He calls forth life where the enemy has brought destruction.
Biblical Example: Lazarus was dead for four days, but at the word of Jesus, he came out of the grave alive (John 11:43-44).
3. GOD BRINGS HOPE OUT OF IMPOSSIBILITIES
Where human reasoning ends, God’s word begins to create possibilities. He calls into being what no man can see.
a) Abraham believed God for the impossible (Romans 4:18-20). Though his body was as good as dead, God fulfilled His promise.
b) Nothing is too hard for God (Jeremiah 32:27). He makes impossibilities possible.
c) God makes a way in the wilderness (Isaiah 43:19). He calls rivers to flow where there is dryness.
d) Faith connects you to divine possibilities (Mark 9:23). To him that believes, all things are possible.
Biblical Example: Abraham and Sarah, though old and barren, received the miracle of Isaac because God called forth life from their impossible situation (Genesis 21:1-3).
4. BELIEVERS MUST ALIGN WITH GOD’S CREATIVE WORD
To see God’s creative power manifest, believers must believe, confess, and act upon His word.
a) Faith is the key to receiving God’s word (Hebrews 11:6). Without faith, we cannot please Him or experience His power.
b) The word of faith must be confessed (Romans 10:9-10). Speaking God’s promises activates divine reality.
c) Prayer releases God’s creative authority (James 5:16-18). Elijah prayed, and creation responded.
d) Obedience enforces manifestation (Deuteronomy 28:1). When we obey, His word produces results in our lives.
Biblical Example: The centurion in Matthew 8:8-10 believed in the authority of Jesus’ word, and his servant was healed at that very hour.
CONCLUSION:
Our God is the Creator who calls things into being that do not exist. He speaks life into deadness, possibilities into impossibilities, and hope into hopelessness. His word remains eternally powerful, reliable, and creative.
As believers, we must learn to believe His word, speak His word, and obey His word. When we align ourselves with the God who calls things into being, we will see His creative power at work in every area of our lives.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Thank You Lord for being the God who calls things into being.
2. Father, speak Your creative word into my life in Jesus’ name.
