The God That Delivers

Isa 61:1 ¶ The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

(There are many kinds of captivity):

There is spiritual captivity, emotional, mental captivity, There is captivity of the flesh (habits,

bondages, addictions, lusts and desires that hold lives in captivity.

There is the captivity of sickness and disease, captivity of poverty and lack, There is the captivity of fear, the captivity of rejection .

The captivity of unforgiveness, The captivity of a wounded heart.

(Jesus came according to the word of God to set the captives free):

Lu 4:18-19 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

Jesus was the anointed Word:

Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

He is still the anointed word: Jesus Christ = Jesus the word, the anointed one, the same yesterday today and forever.

Ps 107:20 He sent his word and healed them and (delivered them from all their destructions)

I have been anointed to preach to you the anointed word that has the power to set you free in every area of your life.

(I have been anointed to proclaim to you the good news that Jesus saves, delivers, and heals).

The same spirit, the same Holy Ghost anointing and power that was upon Jesus, to preach deliverance to

The captives is upon me.

(There is no captivity or bondage that can’t be broken by the anointed word).

Isa 49:2525 But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.

Don’t talk to me about a God that can save your soul from hell, but can’t deliver you from nicotine, or alcohol, or drugs.

Don’t talk to me about a blood that can redeem your soul but can’t heal your wounded heart, and deliver you from un-forgiveness and bitterness and rejection.

Don’t talk to me about a Jesus who can save your soul but can’t deliver your mind from the tormenting power of the enemy.

(The God of the bible is not only the God that saves, but he is also the God who Delivers and Heals).

I don’t know what your captivity is tonight, but I know the God who delivers.

Let’s have a little testimony service, I’m sure there is somebody that can testify that God is a God who delivers the captives.

Bro Daniel: Can you tell us anything about the delivering power of God, ( Yes says Daniel I can tell you about a God that can deliver from the lions den).

Anybody else?

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: Yes we know a God that can deliver from the fiery furnace.

How about you brothers Paul and Silas: ( Yes we know a God who can deliver from the Prison).

Is there anybody else who can testify to Gods delivering Power?

Yes I see that Hand David:

Yes I want to testify about a God who can deliver from the paw of the lion and the bear, and the uncircumcised giant named Goliath.

Ps 18:7 He delivered, me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me.

Yes I just want to testify about a God that delivered me from a death sentence, he opened the doors of the prison and led me out.

How about it church, is there anyone here today that can testify of God’s delivering power?

Is there any one here who knows what it is to be bound and then set free?

Is there anyone here who knows what it is to be sick and then to be healed by the great physician?

Is there anybody here who knows what it is to be driven by unclean lusts and desires but now you are free to live a pure and sanctified and holy life?

Is there anybody here that can testify of a God that can deliver from the fire?
