Summary: Jesus said our Heavenly Father will meet our daily need of food and clothing. He gives examples of God’s provision. He tells us what we should do as a child of God. And we will see how we can do our part.

Isn’t life more than meat, and the body more than clothing? Matthew 6:25

Having been working on routine, goals setting and time management, this verse caught my attention.

It stuck me how much of our time is spent on food and clothing!

Planning and shopping

Cooking and laundry

Washing dishes to prepare for the next round.

Presentation of food and outfits for special events.

These are our basic, daily needs. We have to have them EVERY day.

Matthew 6:25-33

And Jesus said:

Take no thought for these.

Your Heavenly Father will provide food for the birds.

Your Heavenly Father clothes the lilies? of the field.

How much more would He provide these for you!

Take no thought of:

What will we eat?

What will we drink?

With what will we be clothed?

Your Father knows you need of all these things.

Our part: (If you will) Seek the kingdom of God, seek his righteousness…

THEN God will provide all these things that you need.

Little children don’t worry about their clothes or what they will eat.

They don’t worry about what tomorrow brings.

But their needs are met.

The Father and mother provide those things.

Jesus said we should become as little children. (Matthew 18:3)

Could this be part of what he meant?

Trust the Father to take care of your needs.
