The story of the bible is a God walking with his people, attempting to rescue them.

We must admit that God has been more than patient with humanity.

He’s slow to anger, yet he does not leave unpunished. Exodus 34

Romans 14:11-12 NIV

For it is written “As I live, says the LORD, Every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall confess to God.” 12 So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.

Revelation 20:1-3 NIV

And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. 2 He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. 3 He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time

God will judge the root of evil and everything that’s unholy will be pushed away from the God who is holy.

1. Everyone will be judged.

The great tragedy for unbelievers is not standing in judgment in front of an angry God.

The great tragedy for unbelievers is standing in judgment and realizing God is good and merciful.

The invitation is to bow our knees every day and to constantly evaluate ourselves with the help of the Holy Spirit.

Psalm 100 - Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise.

2. The Father who judges us is holy.

Revelation 4:8 NIV

The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying: “Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!”

It appears 637 times in the Bible. By far, it’s the most mentioned attribute!

God’s holiness means that He’s completely pure and perfect. He has no imperfections.

God is pure, righteous, and just. He’s perfect in all His ways!

His name is Holy. His power is Holy. His temple is Holy. His Spirit is Holy. His covenant is Holy. His city is holy. Even His ground is holy. His actions are Holy. His words are Holy. His promises are holy. His angels are holy. His prophets are holy. His people are Holy.

3. Jesus has taken our punishment.

Colossians 2:13-15 NIV

When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, 14 having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. 15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

Jesus from the cross ‘Father, forgive them.”

Jesus is returning. Evil will be destroyed. Paradise will be restored.

Salvation is God’s determination to rescue his creation and finally, get his family back.
