"If you then, evil as you are, know how to give good gifts [gifts that are to their advantage] to your children,"
Romans 7:18 (Amplified Bible)
For I know that nothing good dwells within me, that is, in my flesh. I can will what is right, but I cannot perform it. [I have the intention and urge to do what is right, but no power to carry it out.]
Titus 3:3 (Amplified Bible)
For we also were once thoughtless and senseless, obstinate and disobedient, deluded and misled; [we too were once] slaves to all sorts of cravings and pleasures, wasting our days in malice and jealousy and envy, hateful (hated, detestable) and hating one another.
John 3:5-6 (Amplified Bible)
Jesus answered, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, unless a man is born of water and [even] the Spirit, he cannot [ever] enter the kingdom of God.
What is born of [from] the flesh is flesh [of the physical is physical]; and what is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Evil fathers can give evil gifts, but they think their gifts are good but it's not. Only the FATHER can give good gifts because the FATHER is Good. Being Good is one attribute of GOD.
Mark 10:18 (Amplified Bible)
And Jesus said to him, Why do you call Me [essentially and perfectly morally] good? There is no one [essentially and perfectly morally] good—except God alone.
Luke 18:19 (Amplified Bible)
Jesus said to him, Why do you call Me [essentially and perfectly morally] good? No one is [essentially and perfectly morally] good—except God only.
B. The FATHER GOD gives the HOLY SPIRIT to those who ask and continues to ask
"how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask and continue to ask Him!"
Proverbs 1:23 (Amplified Bible)
If you will turn (repent) and give heed to my reproof, behold, I [Wisdom] will pour out my spirit upon you, I will make my words known to you.
Matthew 7:11 (Amplified Bible)
If you then, evil as you are, know how to give good and advantageous gifts to your children, how much more will your Father Who is in heaven [perfect as He is] give good and advantageous things to those who keep on asking Him!
JESUS is teaching the Samaritan woman that only He is the Source of eternal life.
John 4:10 (Amplified Bible)
Jesus answered her, If you had only known and had recognized God’s gift and Who this is that is saying to you, Give Me a drink, you would have asked Him [instead] and He would have given you living water.
IX. CONCLUSION:
Praise, worship and thank You very much LORD JESUS for You are the One who give good gifts to us as we continue to ask You by praying in tongues.
