The Fall

THE FALL Genesis 3:1-7

We have all fallen either as a child on the ground

We have fallen in love with someone

We have fallen into sin as well

We know what it’s like to fall

1. That’s what we’re talking about today the Fall

• When Adam and Eve fell the entire human race was plunged into darkness, sin and death.

• man sinned against God, man died and became spiritually separated from Almighty God.

• Man also became helpless in his ability to get back in a right relationship with God.

• From the moment mankind fell into sin and ruin, God has made it His business to seek fallen man and attempt to establish a relationship with him.

2. Notice when they ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil God Come to Them

• God’s custom to join Adam in the cool of the day for fellowship and communion to talk . Now, man had sinned and God had every right to stay away, but He came anyway! That is grace!

• That what God does he comes looking for his wandering sheep

• God called for them Perhaps called out inorder to reach them because they had fallen

3. God Confronted them about their Sin or fall

• God wasn’t fishing for information; He knew what Adam and Eve had done. He was looking for a confession. I think so he could forgive him

• Like John the Baptist confronted sin “Repent the Kingdom of God is near”

• God doesn’t just let us go. Recall the woman caught in adultery neither do I condemn you but Go sin no more”

4. When they, Adam and Eve fall so did Judgment fall

• Recall in the Garden there is a price for sin

• God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this, "Cursed are you, you will crawl on belly and eat dust all the days of your life.

• God said to the woman, “"I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing; with pain you will give birth to children

• God said to the man, "Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life.

• Then the worst of the Judgments was death you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return."

5. Although Adam and Eve Fall God will pick them up

• Its God’s amazing grace that picks up the sinner, cleanses the sinner him and clothes the sinner

• God has picked up many Fallen people

• Isaiah said He was a man who said he was ruined and a man with unclean lips, but God said to Isaiah “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”

• Moses fell tremendously by not trusting God, He killed an Egyptian But God Pick up Your self and go set my people free!

• Paul the apostle Murdered, Harassed, and Persecuted Christians in the early Church. Paul fell to the ground on the road to Damascus, but heard a voice that said, rise and enter the city, and you will be told what you are to do.”

• Peter fell he denied his Lord three times yet Jesus picked him up Peter was used mightily by God to encourage, teach, heal, minister to, lead and grow the early church. He wrote books in the New Testament, and His writings continue to help us Christians grow today.
