VIII. MAIN BODY:

Luke 11:21 (Amplified Bible)

When the strong man, fully armed, [from his courtyard] guards his own dwelling, his belongings are undisturbed [his property is at peace and is secure].

Luke 11:21 (King James Version)

When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:

A. The enemy is armed and is keeping his palace

"When a strong man armed keepeth his palace,"

1 John 3:8 (Amplified Bible)

[But] he who commits sin [who practices evildoing] is of the devil [takes his character from the evil one], for the devil has sinned (violated the divine law) from the beginning. The reason the Son of God was made manifest (visible) was to undo (destroy, loosen, and dissolve) the works the devil [has done].

That's the purpose of the SON OF GOD is the destroy the works of the devil while He is on earth, and He wants us to continue what He had left behind for us to do.

John 5:20 (Amplified Bible)

The Father dearly loves the Son and discloses to (shows) Him everything that He Himself does. And He will disclose to Him (let Him see) greater things yet than these, so that you may marvel and be full of wonder and astonishment.

John 14:12 (Amplified Bible)

I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father.

Parallel verse:

Matthew 12:29 (Amplified Bible)

Or how can a person go into a strong man’s house and carry off his goods (the entire equipment of his house) without first binding the strong man? Then indeed he may plunder his house.

The enemy's purpose is to steal, kill and destroy anything that GOD has placed in us. For example, healing he wants to deceive you with sickness and disease so you will think that you're not well.

John 10:10 (Amplified Bible)

The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).

B. The enemy's good are in peace.

"his goods are in peace:"

Mark 3:27 (Amplified Bible)

But no one can go into a strong man’s house and ransack his household goods right and left and seize them as plunder unless he first binds the strong man; then indeed he may [thoroughly] plunder his house.

The Stronger Man is JESUS who will go into the enemy's territory (the world) and will ransack all his goods. When did this happened? At the cross, where all victory came from.

Colossians 2:15 (Amplified Bible)

[God] disarmed the principalities and powers that were ranged against us and made a bold display and public example of them, in triumphing over them in Him and in it [the cross].

Goods are wealth, ownerships of the devil on us, possessions of the devil in this world that were disarmed by GOD at the foot of the cross, triumphing over them at the cross.

1 Corinthians 2:7-8 (Amplified Bible)

But rather what we are setting forth is a wisdom of God once hidden [from the human understanding] and now revealed to us by God—[that wisdom] which God devised and decreed before the ages for our glorification [to lift us into the glory of His presence].

None of the rulers of this age or world perceived and recognized and understood this, for if they had, they would never have crucified the Lord of glory.
