The Eagle Believer

THE EAGLE BELIEVER

Christians are made to be the best in any area of their lives. It is because of this that we are created in the image and likeness of God. However, this is not always the case as you have a lot Christians still struggling in the pool of the ordinary. It is normal for us to be weary as we run or get tired when we walk along the rough road of life, but a supernatural renewal of strength is what our Lord has promised only those who are ready to wait on Him.

Main Text: Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary and they shall walk and not faint.

TEN QUALITIES OF EAGLES

1. A bird of Outstanding Character. Job 39:27-30 Doth the Eagle mount up at thy command and make her nest on high. She dwellest and abideth on the rock and strong place. From thence She seeketh the prey and her eyes Behold far off. Her young ones also suck up blood and where the slain her there she is.

Eagle bird flies at an outstanding altitude. They soar high. You can see that the Highest rank in the famous Boys Scout is an eagle scout. F-15 eagle bomber aircraft is designed to maintain air superiority in an aerial combat.

2. Unusual Sharp Visual power. Eagle has keen ability to watch and observe. That’s what our Saviour expects from all believers. Prov 29:18 Where there’s no vision the people perish: But he that keepeth the law happy is he. You cannot live a fulfilled Christian life without the ability to see into the plans of God.

3.Supernatural Strength. Eagles are very powerful birds, robust, broad-winged with massive bills and talon.

4. Voracious Warrior. She seizes life animals and tears them into pieces. Look at the F-15 eagle bomber. It can penetrate enemy defense and outperform and outfight any enemy aircraft. F-15 eagle also has system and weaponry to detect, acquire, track and attack enemy aircraft. I Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about seeking whom he may devour. As a believer God expects you to have a warfare Strategy.

5.Eagles can survive in any weather conditions. From the deserts in North Africa to snow conditions of Alaska and Russia you find eagles surviving.

6. Eagles are not like ducks. They do not over-pamper their young ones. For purpose of training, she pushes her children off cliff not because she doesn’t care but training them to become great warriors. Many believers over-depend on help. God want believers in times of trouble to be able to call directly to him.

Many believers are already suffering from "Man-of-God Syndrome". This is more dependence on man than God. Take the F-15 bomber that I have been using as illustration, it is designed in such a way that one person can safely perform air-to-air combat.

7. Capability for acquisition. The F-15, for close-in dogfights, the radar automatically acquires enemy aircraft. Look at Isaiah 61:6 But ye shall be named the priests of the Lord: Men shall call you ministers of God. Ye shall eat the riches of gentiles and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.

8. Eagles can survive days without Food. It has been said, " Fasting is the most Powerful spiritual discipline of all Christian disciplines. This is common with eagles particularly when they go through a process called MOLTING. It is their most depressed period when they loose virtually everything and are always like turkeys. Most of them do not survive it.

When you link it to the life of a believer, whether we like it or not there will be periods of molting. But we can possess some supernatural strength to survive these times by waiting on the Lord. Back to the F-15 it has capability of going long distance without re-fueling. What it does is to reduce need for in-flight refueling on global missions and increase time in combat area.

9.Vigilant and Tactical Striker. The F-15 can fly at night. As a matter of fact the air superiority is applied to night- time even in camouflaging or masquerading situations.

Fact to Note: F-15C, D, E air fighter models were deployed to "Operation desert Storm" in 1991 in the Persian Gulf. They proved their superiority combat with 26:0 kill ratio. The aircraft accounted for 36 out of 39 Air force air- to- air victories.

How does this apply to a believer? David never lost a battle so is the desire of God for all believers to be superior, rule over, and have dominion over all forces of darkness.

10. Eagles have Long Life. They rarely die on the way. They must accomplish their missions.
