1 When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.

2 Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing:
Psalms 40:1 I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.
2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. 3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.
C. It's A Recognized Salvation
2 then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.

4. Zion's Purpose 5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed,
A. The Task Of The Sower – The sower is to “go forth” and sow seed. This speaks of a continual, consistent going and sowing. That word “Go” has the idea of “as you go.” a) It Is Personal - 6a "He”
b) It Is Present Tense - 6b "continually goes forth."
c) It Is Passionate - 6c “weeping”
d) It Is Productive - 6d “bearing seed for sowing”
A. We need a Heart for going John Wesley, said this to his students,
"You have but one business and that is the salvation of souls."

B. We need the Habit of going - 6 He that goeth forth
C. We need Help in going Matt 28 v 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
B. The Tears Of The Sower – They that sow in tears,
Why does he weep? Because everything depends on the harvest.
There is the: -
(a) Perception of the lost,
(b) Prayer for the lost,
(c) Presentation to the lost!(of the gospel)
C. The Triumph Of The Sower – shall reap in joy Dan 12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
5. Zion's Promise 6 doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
a) The Certainty Of The Promise - 6d “shall doubtless come again”
b) The Consolation Of The Promise - 6e "with rejoicing"
c) The Confirmation Of The Promise - 6f "bringing his sheaves with him”
1 Cor 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
