Summary: Words have power, and the Bible warns us about the dangers of unclean speech.

Those who speak with a foul mouth are not only harming others but also inviting darkness and destruction into their own lives. We'll explore the biblical truth about unclean speech and its consequences.

The Biblical Warning

1. "But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart" (Matthew 15:18)

2. "The tongue has the power of life and death" (Proverbs 18:21)

3. "Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths" (Ephesians 4:29)

Unclean Speech: A Demonic Influence

1. "For out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks" (Matthew 12:34)

2. "The devil...does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources" (John 8:44)

3. "Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers" (Ephesians 4:29)

The Consequences of Unclean Speech

1. Spiritual death (Ezekiel 18:20)

2. Destruction (Proverbs 10:11)

3. Corruption (Matthew 15:18-20)

4. Defilement (Matthew 15:18-20)

5. Separation from God (Psalm 120:2-3)

The Remedy

1. "Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone" (Colossians 4:6)

2. "Bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you" (Luke 6:28)

3. "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good" (Romans 12:21)

Unclean speech is a demonic influence that brings destruction and death. As believers, we must recognize the power of our words and choose to speak life, hope, and encouragement. Let us season our speech with grace and salt, and overcome evil with good.

- "May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, Lord my Rock and my Redeemer" (Psalm 19:14)
